The Department of Housing and Urban Development released their 2017 income limits last Friday, which determine eligibility for various kinds of government housing programs, from Section 8 housing choice vouchers to public housing for the poor, elderly, and people with disabilities
In San Francisco, a family of four with an income as high as $105,000 per year would qualify for Section 8 subsidized housing vouchers. In New York, Los Angeles, Boston, and Washington, DC, a family of four making more than $70,000 could qualify. A family of 4 earning $49,000 qualifies as low-income in the Palm Bay-Melbourne-Titusville, FL area. $46,500 in Orlano calculator ------------------------- "The truth is incontrovertible. malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is." -Sir Winston Churchill |

What do they consider income? Your salary, or what you actualy take home in your check after taxes, medical insurance, and any other government mandated extorsion? |

It makes sense. It's also why full time Wal-Mart employees are one of the largest groups of welfare users.
