I agree UAE is top tier of Muslim countries but slavery keeps it out of 1st world for me

I'm not sure if they have Muslim only areas like Saudi Arabia, but that is also a deal breaker

What does "1st world" mean?

I can't define that. I can't think of a single Muslim majority country that I would call first world. That's why I asked the question.

These folks go to other countries and expect rights we wouldnt get at their homeland and wonder why we worry about their culture.

In court papers, Washington and Minnesota's attorneys general have pulled out quotes from speeches, news conferences and interviews as evidence that an executive order the administration argues is neutral was really motivated by animus toward Muslims and a "desire to harm a particular group."

"These plainly-worded statements, made in the months leading up to and contemporaneous with the signing of the Executive Order, and, in many cases, made by the Executive himself, betray the Executive Order's stated secular purpose,"

- U.S. District Judge Derrick K. Watson

"the order was "the realization of the long-envisioned Muslim ban"

-U.S. District Judge Theodore D. Chuang

not just "the media" miker, the courts

Unless I'm missing something, these court comments don't contain any logic explaining why it's a Muslim ban if some 50-odd Muslim-majority countries are not affected.

That's the part I'm looking for.

It's all about delivering on extreme campaign promises. He promised a Muslim ban, then was informed it would be illegal.

He wanted the closest possible thing that he could get away with, yet still shop around his rallies as "keeping his promise".

These countries were already on a "watch list" leftover from the previous Admin. That gave cover if anyone complains.

That's all it is. This is "the most Muslim ban" he could (try) to get away with. If not for pesky court, it would be anyplace majority muslim that doesn't have Trump hotel or bank account.

Iran is a very advanced country, so was Syria.

We currently have a butt load of Iranians attending our better universities.

Adrian Russel Ajao

All the assumptions in this thread about his ethnicity were wrong.

"His mother was a white British Christian living in southeast England."

Good luck vetting that.

The real question then is what led him to become a right wing radical and commit murder?

Were there assumptions on ethnicity, or religion?

He was a british born black man that converted to islam and change his name / alias to something more fitting his religion. He then became radicalized.

Just what the news is reporting.

Still looking for these assumptions that were made and I went all the way back to the first page checking.

So what can we see just from the photo and what we know.

Dark skinned individual with a beard that committed an gross act of mass violence on a known enemy state of radical islam.

Probability says it was radical islam, but I suppose it could be the IRA starting up again.

So basically a British born citizen was radicalized. Not an immigrant or refugee, but a native corrupted by religious extremism while living in a free and open country. Sad

So how do you fight that?

I believe I was the first to make a comment based on the images provided by the media. See my quotes above. Other than someone saying probability would say it is radical islam before I said anything, I fail to see where anyone made assumptions.

My comments above don't fit any definition of the word assumption, so it wasn't me... and I didnt see anyone else make them either.

Tpab and Crank jumped to immigrant. Pab really beat the immigrant drum on two page-one posts.

I'm wondering if anyone thought the brown guy with the beard was a half-white guy born in England that looked more cuban than anything else. I figured he was as likely native as anything else given the colonial history of England. But his being named Adrian Russel did kind of catch me off guard.

Since "extreme vetting" and refugee bans can't stop a homegrown loser that finds purpose in extreme religion and violence; what should be done about that?

Thank you Scom.  Of course he was born in England!  Great white dopes so hoping for an ISIS leader to be the culprit.

Did he live with his Mom by any chance?
