(CNN)The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) estimates that enactment of the Trump-supported American Health Care Act (AHCA) would result in 24 million fewer people having coverage by 2026. And while that will have many implications for Americans' health and well-being, here's something else to consider: The AHCA will also increase the number of abortions performed in this country, perhaps more than any single piece of legislation ever enacted by Congress, especially if all funding for Planned Parenthood is blocked.

I will repeat what I have said in other threads.

A full repeal of all government subsidies for health care including the tax subsidy for employer provided health care and health insurance cannot come quickly enough.

Along with that I want a repeal of EMTALA and any similar rules.

People should only get the health care that they can afford.

Insurance should be priced to the risk profile of the insured just like property and liability insurance.

I'll be fine under such a scenario. That majority of Republican voters would not. I say we give them what they want, a true free market system. Cost for me would come down a lot. I'll take the chance on catostrophe. Shame for people born with problems. Thems the breaks though. We can't all be lucky.

If I find out the day after all that passes that I've got an illness that will bankrupt me I have a solution for that, same thing we do to pets when we can't or wont afford the bills. This is what the voters wanted. So be it.

That is why I propose the reforms that I propose. I am proposing to eliminate all of the inefficiencies that exist under ACA and that have existed for a couple of decades prior.
