Blocked by federal judge before it could go into effect.

So many so-called judges?

Now a judge in Maryland has joined in to block it.

Dang, it's almost like it's against the law to discriminate based on religion. Someone should have told Twitler.

The problem is, as the law is written, it bans travel from countries, and doesn't mention anything about religion. For the judges to say it does, is only them twisting the law into something its not, instead of the.....well...letter of law itself.

I think the fact that Trumpski said we should ban all muslims from entering the country until the government can figure out what the hell is going on weighs heavily on the current EA's intent.

It seems the lib, prog, constitution hating, snowflake judges were considering the intent?

The intent is to ban travel from coutnries who openly hate us. Just so happens they are predomintely Muslim.

If the intent was to ban all Muslim's from traveling, don't you think all of the predominat Muslim countries would be on the ban, and not jus the one OBAMA HIMSELF, listed?

Now you can dream of a leader who eliminates the separation of powers, cuts the red tape and has the stones to hate some of the people in some of the countries that hate us.

This isn't a "Muslim travel ban". There are 50 majority muslim nations in the world. We are only talking about 6 of them. The countries we are trying to restrict entry from have a high concentration of terrorist activity, fragile or untrustworthy infrastructures, and are producing an exploding number of refugees. Continuing with business as usual and hoping for the best is a recipe for disaster. Ask France, who has hosted more terrorist attacks in the last 2 years than they have in the last 2 decades.

Does anyone have the judge's detailed description citing what aspects are unconstitutional or legal reasons it is unimplementable?

I thought Twitler's team had to prove the countries were singled out because of specific risks.

Guess his team sucks $hit again.

Tripped by his own dick. Because, clearly, Rudy Giuliani is a dick.

"These statements, which include explicit, direct statements of President Trump's animus toward Muslims and intention to impose a ban on Muslims entering the United States, present a convincing case that the first executive order was issued to accomplish, as nearly as possible, President Trump's promised Muslim ban," Chuang wrote on Thursday.
"In particular, the direct statements by President Trump and (former New York City Mayor Rudy) Giuliani's account of his conversations with President Trump reveal that the plan had been to bar the entry of nationals of predominantly Muslim countries deemed to constitute dangerous territory in order to approximate a Muslim ban without calling it one precisely the form of the travel ban in the first executive order."

Then why not open the ban to countries that have a history of attacking us?

The 9/11 attackers came from Saudi Arabia, UAE, Lebanon and Egypt; none of which are on the ban list.

Significant recent attacks in the US were not committed by citizens from any of the seven countries included in the order. This list includes:
?Fort Lauderdale airport shooting (January 2017): A US citizen
?Orlando nightclub shooting (June 2016): A US citizen with Afghan parents
?San Bernardino shooting (December 2015): A US citizen with Pakistani parents, and a Pakistani citizen
?Chattanooga shootings (July 2015): A Kuwait-born US citizen
?Charleston church shooting (June 2015): A US citizen
?Boston marathon bombing (April 2013): Two men originally from Chechnya, Russia

There have been a few non-fatal attacks by individuals from two of the countries on the banned list.

Probably because the countries/areas you mentioned aren't exporting refugees by the thousands, at a rate that it is tough for our immigration offices to keep up with and probably has to do with the fact that ISIS has stated that they have used the refugees to implant their terrorists and plan to continue doing so.

Griper's points:

  • Listen to ISIS they don't lie
  • Focus on the countries that "export refugees by the 1,000s" and not the ones with a proven history of exporting terrorists

How many terrorist attacks in the USA have been committed by refugees? Or even in Europe?

I hate to tell ya, but this has nothing to do with refugees, or terrorists, or what's good for the USA.

Trump raved about a "Muslim Ban" to get the trogs to vote for him, now he's got to come up with something, anything, that with a wink and a nod looks like delivering on his misguided campaign promise.

Donald queered it from the start with his stupid campaign rhetoric which signaled his intent.
Even focused on just a few nations, it's a muslim ban in intent, you can't make history go away.

At this rate his crack team of dopes should be done with their 90 day review of vetting practices prior to a ban being effective.  Right?
