The President chose Army Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster, who has a Phd in military history and reputation for not taking crap from anybody.
He might be able to look at that shit sandwich and pick out the corn. A much better choice. ------------------------- "The truth is incontrovertible. malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is." -Sir Winston Churchill Edited: 02/22/2017 at 09:45 AM by WG |

Sounds like a good choice to me.

Yeah, he and Mad Dog are good for this administration.
The Supreme Court pick is OK too. DeVos and Pruitt are THE WORST possible choices. |

Rachel Maddow seems to think highly of him too.
He's not one to suffer an illegal order I think. ------------------------- Capitalism is based on the ridiculous notion that you can enjoy limitless growth in a closed, finite system. In biology, such behavior of cells is called "cancer". |

Yes, the pick is more than I expected.

I would love to be a fly on the wall of the NSC meeting room the first time that General McMaster tells Bannon to just shut the fuck up.

This guy is top notch. Either he goes or Bannon goes. We shall see.

My Trump terror level is regular red instead of bright red. Shouldn't it be Cheeto-orange? I would love to be a fly on the wall of the NSC meeting room the first time that General McMaster tells Bannon to just shut the fuck up. Me too. With all the spies in the room, maybe it will get recorded and released anyway. Of course, if Trump really thinks he "knows more than the generals" then McMaster may not stay around to put up with it. This guy is top notch. Either he goes or Bannon goes. We shall see. You'd think Bannon would be relieved to have an expert calling the shots and relieving him of some responsibility and culpability. If Bannon pushes back, and the two can't get along, it will be interesting to see whom Trump sides with. If McMaster stays and Bannon goes, Trump loses a well-respected pick, and fingers point at him for being unable to keep good people, while McMaster conveys that Trump doesn't know what he's doing. If Bannon goes, Breitbart turns on Trump with a lot of insider ammo, and all hell breaks loose from both sides (left- and right-leaning media). Trump has put himself into a high-stakes, high-wire balancing act very early on. Managing that should keep him off Twitter for a while. Something worthwhile that's been going around FB lately: |

I thnk this one might be a win.
"WASHINGTON - White House press secretary Sean Spicer said Tuesday that if President Donald Trump's newly appointed national security adviser wanted to remove chief strategist Steve Bannon from the National Security Council's principals committee, the president would "take that under serious consideration." Trump struggled to find a replacement for Flynn because he wanted the new person to use the staff he and Flynn had chosen.
Looks like Trump's attempt at a Chavez/Castro style inner circle failed this time. ------------------------- I was right. |

Master Blaster's first move is to try and remove Bannon, now that Trump has everyone screaming fake news, and Milo put a final nail in "Dullbart" he can toss Bannon like all the other trash he did along his campaign!
