Edit: you might be ok if Trump plays out as bad as the left fears he will, however, if he even does a passable job, you will lose the next election cycle as well if you continue dividing instead of embracing.

Yeah, I'm not sure whether to relax or worry more if Trump moderates.

I guess there's personality vs. policy too. I don't think he can change his incendiary personality, but he can certainly moderate his policies.

What should concern his supporters is that he's one month into his presidency and he's still running against Hillary.

He put a lead opponent to public schools in charge of our school system.

He wants to move our embassy in Israel to Jerusalem.

He prefers Russia to our generations long allies.

He has ruled by decree.

Cole, where did I say you should seek middle ground with Trump? Try reading everything I have written over again. It should have been more than obvious considering I said it point blank numerous times, but you have this tendancy to hear what you want and bend what you see instead of taking it at face value as written.

 

This is applicable to the left as a whole, but more so to the vocal fringe left. Your actions lost you the house, the senate, and the White House. It is foolish to keep continuing down the path of alienating people in the middle. You can't win with out them. As a collective, you need to stop being fucking stupid and start finding common ground.

Why should anyone jump on board or support people that call them racists because they are ONLY 75% in agreement with you about systemic racism? Or when you label them misogynists because they don't think the gender bias is quite as bad as you do... like maybe they are 60% on board with you there. Why hate someone and push them away when they agree with you on the environment, women's rights, and systemic racism because they disagree with you on gun control and immigration?

This election was a one off, had Bernie won the primary, there is a good chance we wouldn't even be having this conversation right now and the Right would be raging over the socialist.
