Even you aren't stupid enough to believe corporations will police themselves when it come to pollution. What do you suppose will happen with no regulation? Another much smaller arm of the government will make sure the environment is protected....like what the EPA WAS supposed to do BEFORE they started stealing land and water! ------------------------- The REAL truth is....both of the forum idiots are OWNED. -BOTH of them have no clue who their owner is. -They are both card carrying narcissists. ^These are PROVED facts. |

Florida lets corporations police themselves, do you think this will protect the environment? Coleslaw there is NO justification for the EPA at this point! No amount of your bullshit will justify what Obama's EPA has done and is doing to common US citizens! The EPS is WAY out of control! Do you understand that?!?! ------------------------- The REAL truth is....both of the forum idiots are OWNED. -BOTH of them have no clue who their owner is. -They are both card carrying narcissists. ^These are PROVED facts. |

Answer the question, do you believe corporations will police themselves?
If water from private land flows into a public source, should the owner of the land be held responsible? The EPA has done wonderful things and will continue to do so. ------------------------- I was right. |

The only way to end the EPA reign of terror is to REMOVE it...there is no fixing it...no changing the embedded career employees that can't be fired no matter what you do@! The same illegal bastards that again and again violate peoples rights to their own property!
The EPA is totally broken! It will be replaced with something that is actually 'legal'....but it won't be ANYTHING like the behemoth it has become! ------------------------- The REAL truth is....both of the forum idiots are OWNED. -BOTH of them have no clue who their owner is. -They are both card carrying narcissists. ^These are PROVED facts. |

Do you actually believe this clown car of a government can come up with a replacement for something as complicated as environmental enforcement and regulation? Listen Coleslaw...you claimed that there was NO WAY Trump could beat the 17 fools that opposed him! THEN you claimed that Trump had NO CHANCE to win against Hillary Clinton! Then you claimed that Trump would be impeached or removed from office! You are soooo wrong it makes me want to PUKE! Do you really think the EPA is 'complicated'???? Really? You are a supreme MORON! ------------------------- The REAL truth is....both of the forum idiots are OWNED. -BOTH of them have no clue who their owner is. -They are both card carrying narcissists. ^These are PROVED facts. |

Actually, FK, the EPA is a terrorist organization. It has caused more economic destruction to the U.S. than ISIS could even dream of doing. Trump and Pruitt need to cut it down to size, and make it work for the American people instead of working against the American people. ------------------------- I :heart; Q |

please...Rick Scott is shady and unethical and definitely does not have the citizens of Florida's best interest in mind. As governor, Scott has allowed the Sugar Industry, a top political contributor, to use Lake Okeechobee as its own personal dumping ground. When Lake O water needed to be released, the currents brought the nutrient rich water to us and was a major contributor to the IR algea bloom. Then he blames the federal government…what a tool. He has been a disaster for Florida’s environment. He has gutted environmental protection programs, slashed water management budgets, fought against new clean water mandates. put developers on regulatory boards, and is a full on climate change denier even though the state of FL is ground zero for US states being affected by it. What else has our shady governor done?
-Scott agreed to spend $700,000 in taxpayer money to settle seven public records lawsuits alleging he and several members of his staff violated state law when they created email accounts to shield their communications from state public records laws and then withheld the documents.
-He mandated drug testing for State workers and Welfare recipients while concurrently owning a chain of clinics that offered drug testing. This ended up costing taxpayers 400K in 3 months. Meanwhile he wasn’t so tough on drug users when he fought implementing a prescription drug database and was extremely slow to react to Florida’s lax RX laws.
-He rejected 2 billion in federal funding for high speed rail, while funding a light rail project on our dime and oh btw, one of his top aides had ties to the project’s contractor. -He outsourced prisons to his political donors, his main campaign donor was awarded contracts through Medicaid. A company he owned stock in was contracted for work on the Sabal Trail pipeline. -He slashed public education funding and funding for people with disabilities, enacted Jim Crow style voting laws, privatized Medicaid (which is what republicans want to do with medicare.
Scott as a US Senator would be a disaster for the state of FL and the country. ------------------------- www.mycostatrip.com |

Didn't know that Scott had brought all those benefits to Floridians. Let's hope he does run for the Senate. He would be a good one. ------------------------- I :heart; Q |

I agree that Rick Scott has no chance against Bill Nelson.

Yep, we want all of that.
You (the collective that you represent) have opposed control of sulfur emmissions, mercury emmissions, cfc emmission, smog control devices on automobiles and trucks, low sulfur diesel fuel, etc... A lot of those battles are pre-internet but the record is out there in the writings of the Heartland Instute, Rush Limbaugh, and many Republicans doing the bidding of those groups. As such I'd say that it is correct that you like smog, holes in the ozone layer, acid rain, and fish contaminated with methyl mercury.
Here in Florida many if not most of our large lakes are so loaded with nutrient pollution that they have flipped to a trophic state where clear water and plants have been replaced with persistent blooms of cyanobacteria. The Indian River Lagoon appears to be tipping that way. We have had no significant rain since Hurricane Mathew and that reduction in loading has led to the water being clearer than in the past three previous years. But in a dry season like this, it should be gin clear everywhere and it isn't. It isn't because internal loading of legacy nutrients is still fueling growth of plankton every time the wind stirs up the bottom. EPA is supposed to step in when state DEP fail to meet minimum standards. Florida GOP is trying to lower the standards and get rid of the EPA. You guys obviously like algae blooms too.
The algae blooms and fish kills in the Indian River Lagoon here lately are good examples of what happens when states are in charge of pollution control without any oversight. ------------------------- ... |
