Even Muslims who are citizens? I wonder if the 2nd Amendment lobby will fight for all Americans to have guns, even those who identify as Muslims. There is talk of registering Muslims, the legal precedent of internment camps and even oaths. I wonder how all that would play out with a well armed, well regulated militia and their right to the same guns as the feds.

I predict a significant decline in the gun industry. The boogieman who was driving sales is gone for now.

Next year at this time you'll be able to pour bricks of .22 on the ground and roll around it it.

One thing that might be interesting. With no government voice calling for gun control, and a glut of firearms and little restriction in the middle of the country, I think we will see better armed terrorists and general criminals than ever before. Gonna be a whole lot'a shootin' going on.

I'm all for states' rights, but I admit it would be glorious to have a single rule nationwide.

The exclusions by state are so many, and can change so quickly (besides the LEOs not always knowing the current law as well as you'd hope), that I usually decide it's too much risk and hassle.

Camping over near St. Marks, was talking to a kid (young man) who was riding his motorcycle from Louisana to the Keys.

He was telling us about getting pulled over by "A whole ____LOAD of Cops!" and "I wasn't even speeding... then" (lot of laughs),

because he was open carrying, allowed in LA, and somebody had called him in.

He said he didn't know it was different in FL.

After the "misunderstanding" was resolved, he stored it in his bag.  No ticket.

The Supreme Court has so far upheld strict gun laws.  That could change with a Trump court.  

Florida is unusual in not allowing open carry, I think one of five states.  The last session of the legislature would likely have passed an open carry measure but for one ranking senator.  He's gone, due to term limits.  

I want to see what the trumpettes think once a bunch of Muslim Americans start arming themselves with guns like Ted the motor city madman nugent and then start exercising their right to call for a violent overthrow like Ted did. As long as there's no double standard, this should be no problem.
