I eat fish out of the lakes and rivers.

The blue green algae blooms are disconcerting. Have to swim and eat around those. Not too keen on swimming in fresh water in Florida anyway.

Nutrient loads to Lake O and just about every other water body in this state are in critical need of reduction.

You can still have awesome fishing in hyper eutrophic system. You generally have your highest fish growth rates and standing biomass in such situations until you push the needle just a little too far and start having fish kills or switch the biomass to undesirable species. Lake Apopka and Lake Jesup are example water bodies where the systems got too rich and flipped to altered stable states. They were plant dominated and flipped to nuisance plankton dominance. That fundamentally altered the fish species composition among other knock-on effects.

We are tripping in that direction in the Indian River Lagoon system.

There were blackfin tuna and mahi but way more than what was in that picture as that box goes under deck all the way to the transom of the boat. There might have been one or two skippies in there (skipjack tuna) but I cant remember from back then. I do have hundreds of fishing pictures...I just don't post them for obvious reasons.

A 20lb dolphin lays on top of the ice. That fish is around 80 degrees when it goes in the box. Another dolphin goes in and that fish is 80 degrees. The same goes for every fish added to the box. How long do you think it takes the cold to radiate through those 80 degree fish until it chills the fish on top? Now factor in the heat from the sun and the heat from the water and friction against the hull.

Like I said, you are clueless.

And I bet from now on all the fish you catch will go under the ice or in a brine, which I prefer.
