OK, fair enough, I get the point now.
Of course by-catch of baby fish is bad and wasteful. Eating seafood of any kind is become increasingly unsustainable, so I do far less of it than i used to.

But it isn't the same as murdering a living thinking social being that is also fast becoming endangered. I don't think I'm saving any elephants here, I doubt he will do it again. This isn't really a save the planet thing, this guys is just an asshole and I want to see him pay for what he did.

The only person that really ought to care what I eat is me. But of course the side effects of what we all consume are felt by everyone.

When wild animals are given the respect we expect ourselves the planet will have a chance. From land crabs trying to cross the island to leaving pockets of habit everywhere, the earth will be sustainable when we realized all creatures are all interconnected.
