dont assume anything folks. yeah the election is rigged. same way it was when bush's brother's sickk attorney general, kathryn harris threw the election. how different would our world be had president gore fought harder for an election he clearly won. be active, tell people the threat we face. i understand the appeal of voting for someone other than these two idiots. but please refer back to what i posted "how to elect trump". This quote from the article is about as bigoted and ignorant as it gets:

I'm surprised I have to even say this: IT'S NOT ILLEGAL TO BE A MUSLIM. 

There's this thing called the Bill of Rights. Freedom of religion, etc. 

I heard a woman on TV who said, "Obama is a Muslim, which disqualifies him from being president."

She probably thinks her statement has legal credibility.  But it doesn't. 

Even if Obama, today, gets on TV and says, "I'm a Muslim and faked being a Christian this whole time" then he would be a jerk for lying, but will have broken no law or changed his legal standing as being eligible for the presidency.  

 

Religion makes no difference to people who aren't bigots.  

I've known dozens of Muslims from all walks of life and ages, and have worked with Muslims for over thirty years. In all that time I haven't experienced any problems with them.  But I've been maligned and harassed many times by fellow (so-called) Christians. 

Are there radical Muslims?  Yes, of course, and they are not much different than radical Christians. They say ignorant things, stomp and scream their way through life, and use violence to spread their message.   The extremists are parasites on the religion they claim to support.   The truth is that they don't support the religion; the religion unwillingly supports them like a shark supports a lamprey or like a whale supports barnacles.  And they're difficult to scrape off.

So, in summary:  there's nothing wrong with being Muslim (per the First Amendment).  And I'll take the First Amendment over the opinion of radio a-holes of the Alt Right Wing any day of the week.

The difference between a Muslim and a radical Muslim, in the eyes of the right, is their ignorance. They want to be patted on the head and told it's okay to presume every Muslim is a terrorist and then have the luxury appearing reasonable by having each individual Muslim affirmatively prove their American bona fides to them. It's a presumption of guilt by the people that claim to uphold the constitution and love it.
