Since pretty much every other military man can't stand Clinton, I can only see this as an effort to nail down the Secretary of Defense job. There are shameless opportunists in all professions. ------------------------- I :heart; Q |

Like you would know.
LOL I don't suppose you paid any attention to the big crowd of diverse vets behind him either? BTW you will probably enjoy this too: "The Navy is set to name a ship after the gay rights icon and San Francisco politician Harvey Milk, according to a Congressional notification obtained by USNI News. The July 14, 2016 notification, signed by Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus, indicated he intended to name a planned Military Sealift Command fleet oiler USNS Harvey Milk (T-AO-206). The ship would be the second of the John Lewis-class oilers being built by General Dynamics NASSCO in San Diego, Calif. The Secretary of the Navy's office is deferring releasing additional information until the naming announcement, a Navy official told USNI News on Thursday. Other names in the class include former Supreme Court Chief Justice Earl Warren whose court ruled to desegregate U.S. schools, former Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy, women's right activist Lucy Stone and abolitionist and women's rights activist Sojourner Truth." Faux is a joke. All the other cable and network stations were playing a lot of these. I think they were BSing with Britt Hume and some others through the Day 4 speeches. Meghan Kelly did play a lot of the Khan parents speech tonight though. Kudos.

Meghan Kelly did play a lot of the Khan parents speech tonight though. Kudos. I thought Megyn Kelly seemed to be moved by it as well. I think there's still potential for her to become a journalist instead of just another fauxy blonde talking head. ------------------------- “It is the heart of US policy to use fascism to preserve capitalism while claiming to be saving democracy from communism “ - Michael Parenti |

Since pretty much every other military man can't stand Clinton, I can only see this as an effort to nail down the Secretary of Defense job. There are shameless opportunists in all professions. you are fuggin' delusional. What'd you have to take kill enough brain cells to think Trump the Traitor is the best person for our country? Probably nothing, you seem like a bit of a dim bulb. My dad, a life long Repug, was a chemist for the army with a Cosmic Clearance, and he sitting this election out. I told him if he was a true patriot he'd vote Hillray. |

"Fox News only showed Khan's speech for two minutes without audio, in a small window at the bottom of the screen while the network aired commercials, including a Benghazi-themed attack ad against Hillary Clinton. During the rest of the address, the channel opted to show host Megyn Kelly interviewing commentator Brit Hume. U.S. Army Captain Humayun Khan was killed in action in Iraq in 2004. When a vehicle packed with explosives drove toward his compound, the 27-year-old, who was born in the United Arab Emirates, ordered his unit to seek cover as he ran toward the vehicle, saving their lives. The vehicle exploded, killing the soldier. He was posthumously awarded a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. His tombstone in Arlington National Cemetery is among many bearing the star and crescent symbol of the Islamic faith." ------------------------- "The truth is incontrovertible. malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is." -Sir Winston Churchill Edited: 07/30/2016 at 11:48 AM by WG |

Hillary Clinton is the democratic party wing of the neoconservative movement. The Bush/Cheney neoconservatives have thrown there support for the only neocon running now and that's Clinton.
This neocon John Allen can be added to this list. I personally feel if elected she will create a new cold war with China and Russia and create the seeds of a world war. The Trump and Sanders supporters have one thing in common and that's endless bogie men and endless war and endless nation building bs has to stop. |

Democrat Jim Webb who ran for President has said he won't vote for Clinton. He is a decorated marine captain that served in Vietnam. I would say he has similar concerns to mine.

If you can honestly believe that electing Trump will mean less war, I just don't know what to say to that. Listen to the man.
But if you think that there is any significant commonality between us Sanders people and Trump supporters, you are badly mistaken. Jim Webb hasn't said much in a few months, but I seriously doubt he's far gone enough to vote for that buffoon. He was in Reagan;s cabinet but quit because Reagan cut Navy spending too much? His beef with Hilary is that "she's not inspiring" to him. But I think he would align pretty much with her on policy. ------------------------- "The truth is incontrovertible. malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is." -Sir Winston Churchill Edited: 07/30/2016 at 08:06 PM by WG |

You know all of us have kids, grandkids, cousins etc. Who really wants war? Only the crazies who attack a sleeping dog; then the dog wakes up, scratches some fleas and goes back to sleep.
