The shorebreak was good into the early 90's, usually best in the fall.

^^^It certainly was. Late 80's to early 90's just like you said. That's why it (and Wabasso) were such popular bodyboarding spots. They were perfect for the Boardwalk's shore pound.

Brother, when you get a minute, could I get a list of the words that trigger these fits?

Hey. Where are we going? (And what are we doing in a hand-basket?)

Back in the mid '60s there were 3 places to surf and be seen at; Canaveral Pier, O'Club, and the Boardwalk. Lots of other places to surf and hang out with like-minded surfers, but they were not near as "cool" to be seen at.

Now, in regard to the original topic of this post, , , , seems to be a few posters with rather thin skin. Word, , , , do not take my post above to be "racist". When people act like that in public, anywhere, no matter where they come from, I'll talk about them as I see fit. I will opine about "thug life" in any terms I care.

I'll chime in on this since I was born and raised on the scene of mel beach and indialantic since 88. The waves have faded out over the years and so has the local vibes. Probably has a lot to do with the dredging as we all know. There really doesn't seem to be much support from the surf industry locally either, isn't KOP non-existent now? Basically it's the groms scene now so it's different then you remember for sure. I've been thinking the same thing lately, it's just not the place it used to be. Still we get some good days once in a blue moon where you get reminded how it used to be around here. Respect.

Dude.....I'm having trouble understanding your statement?? Whos Moniker?? Vote Republican?? The Confederate flag was flown by Southern Democrats trying to illegally secede from the USA..... And what does that have to do with Scumbags hanging around Beach parking Lots???

Shaggs and Spectrum once anchored the Boardwalk Longboard House, though theyve got an incredible board selection is not a core surf shop..it has too much of a retail feel to it. So when Spectrum went down, what was left of the Boardwalk surf scene went with them..unless of course you prefer Surf Style

RE: " Confederate flags for everyone and dont forget to vote Republican" I was quoting another unabashed champion of hispanics everywhere  ----------- a certain Mr Donald Trump.
