Employee confidence in management at IBM is very low compared to similar companies. ( ie: Apple) A major cultual change is required. This could very will prompt a downsize restructure.

However the z13 mainframe should produce a 12% revenue increase for 2015.

IBM is on the ugly end of free market capitalism. The industry is doing well, IBM isn't. Therefore, IBM should either make something new, something better or monopolize an area with government support. That's how it works.

The last two companies I've done work for had standing "don't buy from IBM" orders.

IBM haas been on the verge of failure for years now.  Their buisness model sucks, management is far behind the times and they have failed to complete in their market.  I fail to see how Obamanomics is to blame in this case just yet, but I bet he sticks his dick in it soon enough.
