The Russian Economy is crashing and crashing bad.  Yet the MENSA brain trust in the White House Tuesday proposed even more sanctions against Russia.  A move that threatens a world wide economic cascade affect.  A fair analogy would be walking up to a wounded bear that's surrounded by a pack of hungry wolves and kicking it.  No good can come from such an action, and at worst people will starve this winter.

Congress passed the sanctions and the president decided to sign.  The legislation passed without opposition, so there was no point in a veto.

The Russian foreign minister, Sergai Lavrov, "said there were "very serious reasons to believe" that the United States was pursuing a strategy of regime change, designed to topple Mr. Putin's government, and he disparaged American lawmakers. "If you look at U.S. Congress, 80 percent of them have never left the U.S.A., so I'm not surprised about Russophobia in Congress," Mr. Lavrov said."   (NY Times).

Congress (and UN) that's what he gets for being a douche bag and putting troops into the Ukraine.

Whoa! Check out the "Bleeding Heart" Conservatic! as far as Conservatics are concerned, Obama could single handedly find a cure for all cancers and they'd STILL come up with some "logic" as it being the death knell for our country.

As far as Liberals are concerned they could announce that Obama singlehandedly found a cure for cancer and you would never question the truth of the statement and would tout it as more proof of his awesomeness.>>

> >

Then you would denounce all people that are dying of Cancer as Racists for not believing in Obama...>>

I wouldn't put it past him. He's a short guy, with a small penis, big ego and an ax to grind with the US/west. He was largely supported by the people of Russia in the begining, but now his economy is falling apart and his foriegn policy is being challenged by the very people he can't stand and he looks like a chump on the global stage. Now he's reaching out to any piss ant dictator that will meet with him, so I'd say yes, he is dangerous and willing to go to extremes.

I don't know about Putin, he does show the standard signs of penis insecurity as do most conservatives ,
but on average most short white guys have a bigger dick than do tall white guys.
(a little know fact in the over sized people world)

just sayin...

People with a small penis should not be given control of nuclear weapons, IMHO.

I wasn't taking about pending legislation.  The White House has said it is prepared to propose harder hitting sanctions.  Point is Russia's economy is imploding faster and father and anyone could've imagined, and not as a result of UN, EU or US sanctions.  To continue to kick a wounded bear will not produce possitive results.  It won't help eastern UKraine (FYI they're Russian anyway).  It will hurt a fragile world economy, especially europe.  It will hurt the people of Russia.  It won't overthrow Putin.  It will only serve to give the bear a reason for revenge.  Paybacks are hell, and cold wars suck.

Coincidently enough this also comes as Obama proposes dropping sanctions on Cuba.  Regardless of your personal opions of Russia, Putin, Cuba or Castro, that is just a fucked up foreign policy.

I believe these events to be hard proof the White House approves more of communist dictatorships than it does democracies.

On the other hand, if Obama finds a cure for cancer I'll be the first to carry him on my sholders and wave his flag.

PRESIDENT OBAMA, handling Russia like a boss, but the arms manufacturers kinda lost out. PRESIDENT OBAMA must have cured ebola also since I don't hear all the whining about that anymore.

I want to know what kind of deal was made with the Saudis?

Or did the Saudis act alone because Russia's support of their enemies pissed them off?

Deal with Saudis is that they don't like Russia backing Iran and Syria.

The European Union just handed down some severe sanctions with no trade with anything to do with Crimea. Pretty severe blow. Good to see the EU kick the wounded bear!
