I didn't even know he was on the tube.  But anyone can see what the allmighty has wrought. 

At the very least he is Don Quixote tilting at the (albeit aged and sagging) windmills that are the conservative party.

At the apex he is FDR setting a social agenda that will stand the test of time!  Hallelujah!

1. Harry Reid and Obama CREATED the do-nothing congress. Reid sat on over 360 bills, many of which were initiated by Democrats because he didn't want the Democrats to have to stick their necks out on any issue before the mid-terms. This was not a Reid strategy. It was a Democrat strategy. The only thing holding back hundreds of bills were Democrats.

2. Repbulicans don't take control of the Senate until January. How was he persecuted by anyone?

3. Then he should have made it happen years ago, when he had control of the House and Senate.

4. Our President's job is to do what is in the best interest of the American people. How he will be remembered will be based on whether or not his actions did that. Intentions don't mean shit.

Clap your hands for the less fortunate until it's your ox that get gored. Plenty of 'less foruntate' Americans are out of work and on the dole because they were priced out of the labor market by those willing to work illegaly for less than the gov't mandated minimum (through no fault of their own, mind you). Subsequently, they join the Democratic plantation, and are offered no choice but to for amnesty for those who outpriced them and eventually a minimum wage hike for the usurpers, less they lose their lifeblood.

The net gain is Zero for everyone, but liberals can pat themselves on the back for 'helping people'-- liberal speak for passing the buck. 

 

I'd much prefer we tried to make Central America better and letting them stay in their homeland than bringing Central America to our doorstep.

That takes funding. Which in turn takes the house to pass a bill to fund that. There is a bill that is in the house that does exactly that. Write your rep and tell him to bring that senate bill to a vote to "close the F'ing borders".

We are seeing more and more deportations because everything we have done for the past 20 years, with the exception of building the fence, are bandaids that don't address the root problem. Why wouldn't more people try to get in? We have proven time and time again that if they wait long enough, we will provide some form of amnesty.

I was right.

The Brilliant move by the President to save his legacy was to campaign for the Democrats... NOW all Obama has to do to be percieved as a successful President is Shut up and Sign whatever the Republicans put on his desk....   The Economy will rebound...   Unemployment and NON-employed will go down.    Minorities and women will get jobs,    Kids fresh out of school will have jobs and a future....     All he has to do to look good and have a fair to middling Presidency as his Legacy all he has to do to put Carter back on the bottom, is Sit in the back of the bus and let the drivers take us back to prosperity.... Yeah Obama use your Phone and your pen... answer the phone, say 'yes sir' and sign the bills that the Representatives of We The People put on your desk...
