Mock all you'd like. I respect your decision to not own a gun, but please respect my right to defend my life. You're probably not at risk in your lilly white beachside community-- other don't share the same priveleges that have been afforded to you- and I believe thay have a right to defend themselves, and that a 10 round magazine  won't be too effective against 10 gang members at night, even if our victim is a trained marksmen.

When or where would the average American find themselves pitted against ten gang members?

I have guns and I'm not against gun ownership, but the fear campaign led by the NRA and propagated by the Right has turned this whole gun thing into a joke.

Ferguson, MO next week? Can't say for sure, but sales there have been brisk...

I think the point is that the "average American" does not need to carry at all, but this country's history is one of defending the rights of minorities, and rightfully so.
