FK I'm trying to understand your point. Are you appalled b/c the DOJ advised not to release it to the public, because the video is subject to the freedom of information act, and you think DOJ is violating such a law? Or maybe the store owner released it?? or Are you appalled b/c the DOJ advised not to release the video b/c they felt it would only worsen the situation, which it did? I thought that the Ferguson PD made the decision to release the video, even though they knew that the officer had no knowledge of Brown and friend allegedly taking the cigars. How is that a violation of the freedom of information act to recommend to law enforcement that they themselves not release the video? Did the video belong to a gov't agency? Did it fall within an exception of public records not subject to release? Did someone ask the gov't for the video? Did the gov't refuse? Would the Ferguson police normally proactively release such a video to the press? Please explain FK. |
