Obviously you're a liar
.

Lev. 18:22, "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination."

Lev. 20:13, "If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their bloodguiltness is upon them.

1 Cor. 6:9-10, "Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kingdom of God."

Rom. 1:26-28, "For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, 27 and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. 28 And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper."

Homosexuality is clearly condemned in the Bible. It undermines the basis of God's created order where God made Adam, a man, and Eve, a woman--not two men, not two women--to carry out his command to fill and subdue the earth (Gen. 1:28). Homosexuality cannot carry out that command. It also undermines the basic family unit of husband and wife, the God-ordained means of procreation. It is also dangerous to society. (See, Is homosexuality dangerous?)

Unlike other sins, homosexuality has a heavy judgment administered by God Himself upon those who commit it--and support it. This judgment is simple in that those who practice it are given over to their passions--which means that their hearts are allowed to be hardened by their sins.

"For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, 27 and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error." (Rom. 1:26-27).

As a result, they can no longer see the error of what they are doing. They will not seek forgiveness. They will die in their sins and face God's holy condemnation. But, that isn't all. In addition to the judgment of being given over to their sin, those involved in it also promote it and condemn others who don't approve of their behavior.

" . . . and, although they know the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, they not only do the same, but also give hearty approval to those who practice them." (Rom. 1:32).

So, in their hearty approval of homosexuality they encourage others to be trapped in their sinfulness. This means they will reject Christ's redemptive work on the cross. Without Jesus, they will have no forgiveness. Without forgiveness, they will have no salvation. Without salvation, there is only damnation in eternal hell. We don't want this for anyone.

1 Cor. 6:9-10 doesn't actually say homosexual, so one again you perpetuate a untrue statement.

..and if the word of the Bible is God's breath, why do these differ so much?

Romans 1:26-28King James Version (KJV)

26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

Romans 1:26-28English Standard Version (ESV)

26 For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; 27 and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.

28 And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done.

Romans 1:26-28Living Bible (TLB)

26 That is why God let go of them and let them do all these evil things, so that even their women turned against God's natural plan for them and indulged in sex sin with each other. 27 And the men, instead of having normal sex relationships with women, burned with lust for each other, men doing shameful things with other men and, as a result, getting paid within their own souls with the penalty they so richly deserved.

28 So it was that when they gave God up and would not even acknowledge him, God gave them up to doing everything their evil minds could think of.

God created people.

People with free will and free choice.

He didn't create GAY....due to the fact that He is 100% against it.

You do have the choice to be gay or not....

People happen to be attracted to drugs....ie: drug addicts.

Everyone has a choice to do drugs too!

Everyone has a choice to NOT do drugs as well.

I can see that your gayness is out again...IQ89 the closet homosexual.

Sexuality is not a choice. Anyone one who thinks otherwise is mentally challenged.

People like FKer are dying off and taking their dogmatic belief system with them to the grave.

men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error."

wow, when was this written??? that's almost prophecy or something...

Sexuality is not a choice but... lack of knowledge of God is also not a choice:

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

A comment on english Bible translations: There really are only two english translations. One is the King James version, which, despite it's difficult and sometimes annoying language, comes from the Textus Receptus, from Antioch, and is considered much purer in terms of lining up with the original Hebrew and Greek translations. It was not altered by any gnostics or non-believers.

Every single other english language translation comes from the Alexandrian(Egypt) line, where many non-believers and even occultists(Wescott & Hort) have adulterated it. In Alexandria, the non-christian scholar Origin changed the Greek text thousands of times. His ommissions and edits are easily found online. Jerome, a catholic scholar, further edited the Greek text as did Wescott & Hort. The Wescott & Hort Greek translation, which is the foundation of all modern translations, was altered 8,000 times. Wescott even admitted that what he did would be viewed by many as heretical, but he was a Luciferian so he didn't care.

Also, to obtain a copyright on a new Bible translation, there have to be "substantial changes" to the previous version. So, not only did Origin, Jerome  and W & H change the underlying Greek text, but the publishing houses that want to make cash all while diluting the scriptures, used a Thesaurus to change words  - or would simply rewrite passages - in order to make enough changes to permit a copyright to be awarded. If you look at a comparison between the NIV, Living, New King James(talk about a BS name),Revised Standard, etc. and the King James Version, some of the changes are absolutely ridiculous and some even say the opposite of what the KJV says. The words heaven and hell are removed over 30 times each, and scriptures that tie the Father and Son together are watered down greatly. I could write a 20 page paper on this...but I'll spare you all.

A new version, the Modern English Version, which actually uses the Textus Receptus, is coming out in September. It should be like the KJV, only easier to read. Neither Origin nor the team of Westcott & Hort touched the underlying text. Don't believe the New King James name. That Bible is one of the worst. A hint to its authorship is the occult symbol on the cover. I know. I have one.

Older translations of the New Testament followed the majority of existing manuscripts (Received Text or Textus Receptus).  The trouble was, that most of those manuscripts were of late origin, and reflected bits of tampering and "improvement".  Also, published texts from the period of the King James translation weren't very good.  The first printed Greek New Testament, edited by a great scholar, Erasmus, was done without access to a Greek version of Revelation, so they simply back-translated from the Latin or whatever.  The Greek of Revelation is apparently pretty simple, so it wasn't a huge disaster.

For the Christian Old Testament, the primary text is the Jewish Masoretic Text from the Middle Ages.  The Masoretic Text is very consistent, with the best partly-surviving manuscript being what's left of the Crown of Aleppo, whose Torah is missing and was probably stolen.  Christian translations have also relied, to varying degrees, on older Hebrew texts (Dead Sea scrolls, etc.) and ancient translations (the Greek Septuagint, Jerome's Latin Vulgate, ancient Syriac), and various manuscripts of those translations.  Several Greek Bibles (Sinaiticus, Vaticanus, one in St. Petersburg) seem to be "official" Bibles from the early days of official Christianity in the Roman Empire.

Figuring out the New Testament text has been a matter, in part, of following the transmission of variations in the text to identify textual families.  It's a lot like constructing phylogenies of animals or plants by comparing DNA.  It's worth bearing in mind that pre-official Christians were sometimes persecuted, didn't have scholarly facilities to copy manuscripts, and the Christians themselves had disputes over which books should be considered scripture.  No doubt some were editing texts to improve them.  A fair number of books were suppressed.

Scholarly Greek texts from the past 50 years or so have been pretty consistent and reliable.  There's areas of uncertainty, but if you look at the notes in the New Revised Standard or Revised English, you'll see that the text problems are limited, and so are the issues of how to translate the Greek.

I like the Revised English Bible (1989), a revision of the New English Bible.  Its intention is to express the ancient languages in good, clear, readable English.  One of the principal scholars involved, George Bradford Caird, had thought long and hard about how to present Biblical Hebrew and its styles of thought in English.  His book "The Language and Imagery of the Bible" is worth reading.  For a close look at the Hebrew, Robert Alter's scholarly translations work hard at making the English resemble the Hebrew in style as well as meaning.

Yet the unchangeable problem is that every single english version except for the KJV has a deeply compromised Greek foundation - and the compromising was done intentionally by open occultists(W&H), and by those who thought that many of the claims by Jesus and his apostles were perposterous(Origin). So I recommend ditching them all asap. Of course nonbelievers, or those who masquerade as believers, want you and I to stick with the modern translations which water down and change key elements of the Bible. Make no mistake - they know exactly what they are doing. In fact, the NIV refers to both Satan and Jesus as the Morning Star. Hmmmm. What an interesting "mistake."

While Gail Riplinger, a former University professor, is a flawed person, as all of us are, her books, especially In Awe of Thy Word: Understanding the King James Bible Its Mystery And History Letter By Letter and New Age Bible Versions: An Exhaustive Documentation of the Message are outstanding in detailing the history of most current english translations, frequently comparing the Hebrew, Latin, Greek and English versions and pointing out how and why changes were made. Non-believing scholars and those who are dying for sin and new age elements to work their way into the church hate her...as you will soon see. I recommend reading her, and the KJV.

Since the only people who have a problem with gay marriage is the religious crazies, and our Constitution explicitly protects the rest of us from their dogma, there is NO legal room to ban gay marriage. The Supreme Court finally got something right.

I am of the understanding that none of the original texts from the NT exist, not only that, but no versions of the original Greek translations exist either.

1) The firsthand accounts were written decades after they happened.

2) We don't truly know what the apostles actually said.

3) The NT contains hand selected books and others were left out.

It's easy to see why some of us are skeptical when it comes to excluding others due to God's word.

Cole: The first hand accounts were written by eyewitnesses. No historical book from anywhere near that time frame can boast about that. You and I can write accurately about things that happened in our childhoods 40 or so years ago. Some details are forgotten, but many aren't - especially the important ones. The Epistles were written during the lifetime of the apostles as they lived and taught what they had seen, touched and heard from Jesus.

Many, many historical accounts that were written for the first time hundreds of years after the fact based on oral traditions are accepted as truth. Here we have a book written by several eye witnesses, including a doctor, a tax collector and multiple fisherman, who have no motive to lie because they knew they would likely die for their belief(and why get murdered for something you could easily walk away from if Jesus didn't rise from the dead?). Because there wasn't lamination or computers, ancient, original writings were destroyed over time...but just like any ancient book, they were meticulously copied and passed around to the churches year after year after year. Interestingly, the dead sea scrolls affirmed the Textus Receptus version of the Old Testament, which gives credence to the Textus Receptus New Testament, AKA the King James Version. The dead sea scrolls showed Origin to have edited and deleted things he didn't like since he was not a believer.

Jesus made it clear that he did nothing in secret. Everything he did and taught was in the open. See, John 18:20. So all of the "gospels" that are supposedly Jesuses "secret teachings" are the lies of the gnostics and go against everything Jesus said and did, all of which was in the light. The biblical cannonization process for scripture can be found online and seems to be pretty sound. But to accept that process one has to accept that God was in it, so it is likely foolishness to a non-believer no matter what.

FKer, your biblical quotes have no business influencing a court of law as per the 1st Amendment. You do support the 1st Amendment right?
