Hilarious! I made it a point to watch Hannity and Gretchen Carlsen last night. The only thing Hannity had to say was how bad it was because it will give the (correct) impression that conservatives are racist and hurt them in the election. On Gretchen's show Bundy came up through some guest and she quickly shut him down and changed the topic to some regurgitated form of Benghazi. It's just another example of how Republicans walk the same side of the street as, and cater to racists.

Then along comes a newly formed agency, offering to help "manage" the land, but there will be a mandatory fee.

Turns out, this agency starts "managing" the land by kicking all if his neighbors and their cattle out, and now they are going to come after him. All because of a tortoise. Never mind the tortoise and cattle lived together just fine, there is no evidence to suggest otherwise, and the gov had no problem nuking the entire desert. Why the fuck would anybody continue to pay a fee to someone who is trying to kick you off your land and limit your livelihood?

You think this is the type of government that Washington envisioned?

Name one other instance where armed federal agents came to collect a fee/tax. Usually they'll just put a lien or other means.

So yes, I would call it a little excessive to send an armed unit because a guy wasn't paying his fees to an agency that is killing his cattle and trying to run him out. I equate that to strong arming, but if you equate it to my dog shitting in your yard, so be it. You must have on nice ass lawn.

The main point I was trying to make is, his family had been using the land long before they were required to start paying fees for it. It's really no different than the mob/extortion.

Also, they are providing food, isn't that "payback" to society?
