He'll need to stroke the base.
It''ll be a hard core conservative.

Good question. Mitt is going have to find someone who can sell it hard. ( he said after the other guy said: "stroke the base" )

He is way behind in the polls they have no platform, the talking points are a very mixed message. The repugs in general are very dis jointed. Is there a tea bag party anymore?

I have no idea what rabbit is coming out of the repug hat.

If he had a hair on his ass, he would pick Sarah Palin. She would be a great magnet for the TP voters, and of course the women.  Plus, Tina Fey does a great impression.

He could as well pick Moroni, but he already has a gig standing on top of the temple.  Unfortunatley, it really doesn't matter who he picks as the outcome will be the same for him.

Since he will need to win Florida, why not the Lt. Governor Jennifer Carrol. She's also black and they say Mitt isn't popular with blacks or women. Unlike Palin she might actually be qualified for the job.

I think that would work too, but she was born in Trinidad.  Tina Fey could do a good Jennifer Carrol.

"Tina Fey could do a good Jennifer Carrol." LOL, good one....

Concerning Marco Rubio, at least he has come out and said he believes Mormons are Christians to! LOL.

"Yeah, look, I don't get into that whole debate, I'm not a theologian," he said. "I have a lot of respect for the Mormon Church; I have a lot of respect for members of the Mormon faith. They believe in Jesus Christ, and they consider themselves Christians and I consider them Christians."

Rubio's ties to Mormonism first surfaced in February when a report by Buzzfeed indicated he was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints as a child.

@surf4fun: I think it's time to pick a VP (or any politician) based on their skillset and what they can bring to the table, not to their skin color, religion, or ethnicity.

Mitt is such an ultra conservative that he'll have to pick a "moderate" to balance the ticket.

You guys have played right into Karlie Rove's hand.

One of the things the GOP conservatives are saying, and likely one of the biggest reasons they're not rushing to embrace Romney yet, is that he's not seen as a true conservative, but rather a moderate leaning towards being liberal. Case in point: Romney care.

We've a long way to go. Suggest letting the two candidates and their backer spread all the gossip, lies, and mis-truth soundbites. Each man should run on his record.

Santorum wont take it from him and Rubio is poised for greatness either way.  I say its Rubio.

I don't know that the VP will make much of a difference...

It's Obama and Joe fricken Biden against

Romney and who gives a rat-ss

Nobody really cares, you either support Obama and will vote for him no matter what it costs the country.

Or you support Romney and will vote for him no matter what the News outlets do to trash him .

Or you are going to vote against Obama no matter who the opponent is...

The %1 who look at each person on the ticket and choose by how well that person will represent US are either mental ill and believe their vote matters or mentally incompetent and believe their vote matters or they are trying to justify logically why they are voting for the person they are already  emotionally invested in...

Can you honestly say I'm going to vote for Romney unless he picks (VP name here)or I'm going to vote for Obama But if Romney picks( VP name) then I'll vote for Romney???

Because Obama has Joe Fricken Dumbass Biden for VP and I don't see anybody switching sides because of that. (I don't know if that is how Biden spells his middle name or not)

The greatest problems facing this country are

  • The economy
  • Unemployment
  • Housing recovery
  • Security and defense
  • Infrastructure
  • A responsible bureaucracy (government)
That's why Romney should choose a VP running mate that plays a good game of golf, and who can choose the right wine to go with Chicken Rossellini.
