Crowd Beats, Strips & Robs Tourist On St. Patrick’s Day; Incident Caught On Camera

BALTIMORE (WJZ)– Caught on camera– a tourist being beaten in downtown Baltimore and instead of helping him, a crowd laughs and steals his belongings.

The video shows a man being punched in the face in Downtown Baltimore. You can hear his head hit the pavement near the entrance to Courthouse East.

Instead of helping, people laugh.

Then, the crowd strips him naked and takes his car keys, watch, money and iPhone.

It happened St. Patrick’s Day. Police say the victim was out partying and woke up the next day at his hotel, cut and bruised with no idea why.

“He had every right to leave wherever he was and get back to where he needed to be safely. Their behavior was just criminal,” Det. Nicole Monroe of the Baltimore City Police Department said.

“Not only was he relieved of his property after he was assaulted, but there were a lot of other things done to him that are disturbing to look at, and we want to bring these people to justice,” Det. Monroe said.

Those who’ve seen the video are outraged.

So, scombrid, are you saying that the comments are worse than the actions taken by the thugs, that somehow it's the commenters who are to blame for, or deserving of, the beating? 

If the table was reversed, if it were a white gang beating down a black tourist, do you think there'd be comments alone from the inner city residents of color, or do you think the blacks would simply take to the streets in a show pf violence and mayhem? 

Expect it to get one hell of a lot worse as we close in on the elections. But, don't look for words to calm the waters from the Obama White House, or from the Afro-centric Dept of Justice of Eric "I can't go against my own people" Holder. 

This is good stuff.  I hope the news station doesn't filter these comments.  This kind of thinking and rhetoric needs to be in the spotlight.

Doesn't cheer me up at all. Shouldn't bring happiness to anyone. It is, however, something that could easily have been predicted, a tit for tat that was probably inescapable. It will likely feed a media firestorm, producing copycats on both sides of the racial divisor. 

I still ask: Where is our president, and where is our Attorney General?

Okay, let's back up the accusation that Drudge is a race-baiter, okay? 

Drudge is a news aggrigater; he simply gathers news stories from more than a hundred sources, most of them well-known and accredited news media outlets, and provides his readership with links to them.

Can you provide concrete examples where Drudge actually tried to gin-up, inflame, and make sensational a story about race relations? I don't mean linking to a story on MSNBC; I mean where Drudge himself (or the Drudge report itself) engaged in race-baiting.

So Tahoeskiphreak is the baiter that selects primarily race based articles off of Drudge to paste to the forum?  Seems to me those articles are given high prominence at Drudge even when they are local incidents.  The narrative for awhile has been that black on white crime is running rampant and "will only get worse as long as Obama is president", the narrative being supported by posting every article he can get his hands on in which a white person is assaulted or killed by a black.  Fact is, the crime rate is not up and the blacks involved in those crimes are being prosecuted. 

So has Obama or Holder stepped in an freed those thugs in Baltimore? 

Instead of hand picking articles, how about some real year by year stats to demonstrate that blacks have come unhinged and are running amok since

I just love the "I'm not racist, blacks are just inferior animals that can't be integrated into polite society" type comments.  Seriously, this person thinks that they have any ground under them from which to criticize Sharpton or even the Black Panthers?  Like I've said before, they need each other.  The black panthers open their stupid mouths and dipshits like this say "see look out bad black people are".  This guy goes on about how bad black people are and the panthers say "See, whitey is out to get us".  Go ahead and keep feeding that narrative Tahoe

Cole, Drudge's format is to insert the headline below the graphic. That the Obama story is top-row, center-column is incidental (except to those looking for the flyshit in the buckshot). 

Furthermore, virtually 99.9% of the links on Drudge's Website are to stories published elsewhere. That his site is non-supportive of --and pretty much combative towards-- Obama, the Democrats, or the fringe Left wing crazies, is their choice in how they wish to exercise their First Amendment rights. 

It figures, though, that wannabe fascists would like to deny Drudge that basic American right.
