If the Supreme Court decides to throw out all of Obamacare, can we blame the Republicans? After all, the Supreme court is a "Non Political" part of our government.

Yes, by all means, show your immaturity and blame the Republicans. Matter of fact, pull an Obama and blame everyone but yourself. Or you can be realistic and mature --strange concepts for progs, I know-- and blame a poorly written piece of ponderously convoluted legislation filled with blunder after blunder, confiscatory rulings, regulations, statutes, and unworkable enactments that ultimately resulted in the thievery of Americans' free choice. You can also blame the repeal on the Dems' backroom crooked dealings resulting in a takeover of nearly twenty percent of the nation's economy, and the ultimate arrogance of a Speaker of the House that double-speaks with such confusiong, bewildering, and outright muddled bullshit as "We must pass this bill to learn what's in it." Then again, Dem pinheads would just as soon drink bleach as admit they've backed the worst piece of legislation ever written. |

"a takeover of nearly twenty percent of the nation's economy"
Please come aback a little closer to reality if you want to show your maturity. |

"We" can blame anyone we want. We have a First Amendment. Will the Clown blame the GOP? No doubt. That is his M.O. ------------------------- Brujo, gdudewe, martinA and WG - the white Al Sharptons of NSR. |

Yes sir, it's those damned Republicans that are politicizing the crime as a race issue, stirring the pot. They're definitely to blame for all the confusion, the mobs, the rewards of a dead or alive "capture."
Dem Rep.: "Trayvon Was Hunted Down Like A Dog, Shot Down In The Street" Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-Florida): This is Treyvon Martin. Trayvon Martin's murderer is still at large. It's been one month, thirty days, with no arrest. I want America to see this sweet young boy who was hunted down like a dog, shot in the street, and his killer is still at large. Not one person has been arrested in Treyvon's murder. I want to make sure that America knows that in Sanford, Florida, there was a young boy murdered. He is buried in Miami, Florida, and not one person has been arrested even though we all know who the murderer is. This was a standard case of racial profiling. No more! No more! We will stand for justice for Treyvon Martin. Dem Rep.: Trayvon "Executed" For "Walking While Black In A Gated Community Video: Rep. Hank Johnson (D-Georgia): "He was executed for 'WWB' in a 'GC.' Walking While Black in a Gated Community." Maxine Waters Calls Shooting 'Hate Crime'... A member of the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) on Wednesday called the shooting of Trayvon Martin a hate crime. "I, personally, really truly believe this is a hate crime," said Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) in a joint interview with CBC Chairman Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Mo.) on CNN. |

A bit of a strectch, I admit. Most people go with "one-sixth of the economy," which is actually seventeen percent of the GDP, estimated to be over $15 trillion in 2011. CBS, however, marked it at 19.3% for in 2019.
CBS MONEY WATCH: Health Spending Hits 17.3 Percent of GDP In Largest Annual JumpDespite the most severe economic downturn in 80 years, healthcare spending in the U.S. rose an estimated 5.7 percent to $2.5 trillion in 2009, according to Medicare's actuaries. Even more alarming, the percentage of the GDP spent on healthcare jumped to 17.3 percent from 16.2 percent in 2008-the largest one-year increase since 1960. At the current rate of growth, healthcare costs are predicted to nearly double to $4.5 trillion in 2019. At that point, they will account for 19.3 percent-almost a fifth-of our GDP. |

That health care is sucking up 1/5th of our ecomomy and growing should be a concern. Obama Care is a stupid answer. But letting a bunch of old smokers suck of the tit is stupid as well. Cut them all off. Get rid of the mandate to start. Next: pre-existing conditions. Insurance companies should absolutley not have to pay for care for people that are already sick. People that are on the medicare dole. Pay them back the exact dollar amount they paid in and cut them off. People that are on medicaid, fuck em. Die assholes.

Seriously though. I think haveing health care vacuum up 1/5th of all productivity is a real problem. How do we fix that if we don't go single payer? We eliminate all employer provided plans. Each and everyone buys into a package that meets his or his/her family's needs. What happens then is that the vast majority of people drop insurance and insurance companies eat shit and drop their rates and in the process squeeze doctors that are also raping the shit out of regular people. Fuck a hospital that charges $200 for an aspirin. Oh, and in the course of all that we recind the requirement that hospitals trealt everybody. You show up at the door and you get treated to the limit of your VISA or insurance card or you die. I'm cool with that. I would rather have my employer pay me another $7000/year rather than hand that money over to BCBS. I'll put most of that aside for injuries but if I get something really expensive and likely terminal I'm happy to put a bullet in my own head. Once you're dieing you're dieing and there is no point in excessive suffering or expense if you're going to die anyway. So I'll pay up until my personal funds run out and I'm sick of donating to BCBS because that's one of my job "benefits". What about everybody else? I can pretty much assure that if employer-provided plans are dropped and people are left to buy care out of pocket that care prices would drop (this does require that hospitals be free to turn people away for lack of funds). If people are left to purchase insurance and care directly I would hope that they'd see that paying the doctor directly for basic care is more cost effective than paying a premium to BCBS so it can in turn pay your doctor for a checkup or the odd booboo and take their profit on top. Frankly I think that if employer provided plans disappear that all the relatively healthy people will drop out (since what cost me $1200 in 2001 now costs me $7000) and insurance companies will shit their pants and push prices to more reasonalbe level (that of course requires that the government stop forcing hospitals to treat the indigent. Those people must get turned away for this to work). ------------------------- ... |

Will you support the expanse of government required to oversee the process, then regulate it? Nope...will you allow the government regulation that stops the cross state competition to end so that there can be valid insurance competition. Less government not more...idiot! ------------------------- "Me? 133 to 135 IQ depending on the test." Coleslaw |

You actually want an unregulated, country wide insurance industry?
I'm glad you don't vote. ------------------------- "Born fine the first time." |

Without genuine competition the insurance industry wins...again and again.
You really don't know how genuine competition works...do you?!?! Oh...and Coleslaw...if you think I don't vote then you really have a screw loose! ------------------------- "Me? 133 to 135 IQ depending on the test." Coleslaw |

The irony is the fact that you don't either.
