"Reuters has learned that in late 2006 or early 2007, U.S. intelligence intercepted telephone and email communications in which Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, a leading figure in Iran's nuclear program, and other scientists complained that the weaponization program had been stopped. That led to a bombshell conclusion in a controversial 2007 National Intelligence Estimate: American spy agencies had "high confidence" that Iran halted its nuclear weapons program in the fall of 2003.

Current and former U.S. officials say they are confident that Iran has no secret uranium-enrichment site outside the purview of U.N. nuclear inspections. They also have confidence that any Iranian move toward building a functional nuclear weapon would be detected long before a bomb was made."

Wow, I can't believe it, our governement doing more of the same bullshit to start wars that serve an agenda that doesn't serve the American people.

I was watching CNN for a few minutes the other day and they had some former CIA counter-terroism guy on, and he was making the point of how dangerous the Iranians are because they have made assaination attempts recently.  Well, if you allow simple logic to come into the front seat that would make the CIA one of the biggest criminal organizations in the world and the world's leading terroist group.  I think "1984" is here fellas, "War is peace". I mean, who seriously buys into any of this stuff anymore???  An ex-CIA operative crying about another governments assasination attempts???  It would truly be funny if these people were not so dangerous.

Please turn off your tv's and think, we are going to need to stand together, the enemy is in the gates.

Oh, and have a spectacular weekend everyone.

We haven't melted the ice caps yet by global warming. We should not do anything about global warming until we do. Right?

Cool. Thanks for sharing, and kudos to Reuters for exposing the nuclear experts from America, Europe, and the United Nations (God Bless them especially) who've been saying Iran's getting ready to go nuclear.

You ask me, it was all some Israeli plot to lead us into war. Thank goodness the truth's been revealed.

Now, if they could just get to the real story about global warming. That, and who exactly blew up the WTC.

I mean its not like they could go to their buddies the Ruskies and just buy one outright. Nothing is for sale in the former Soviet Socialist. Oh wait...

Keep watching the Gulf.  There's thinking that we'll false flag the Enterprise.  Killing multiple birds with 1 stone.  the only way to cheaply decommission an aging carrier with 5 or six nuke plants.

So, Brujo, what you're saying is that President Obama is going to false-flag the Enterprise and its crew of more than 3,000 just to a) start a war with Iran; b) sink a useless old nuclear (operative word) aircraft carrier; and, c) kill more U.S. sailors and Marines than have died fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan?

Do I have that correct?

I thought that nearly all conservatives believe in deterrence.   That is why I'm puzzled by the right’s outcry against Iran and it's attempts at making a bomb.

Right now the only nuclear power in the region is a scab country in the realm of nuclear powers which doesn't participate in the Nuclear community, treaties, or allow independent inspections of it's assets.  We do, the Russians do, the Chinese do to some extent. Israelis, nope.  If  (and this is a huge "if") Iran was able to make a weaponized bomb there would be deterrence in the region.   We have the Soviets, the Indians have the Pakistanis, the Israelis would have Iran.  I’m not really for this, but at least Iran has made indications that they want to sit at the table and be part of the nuclear community.  Apparently last week one of the Sunday shows talked about this:

http://globalpublicsquare.blogs.cnn.com/2012/03/17/zakaria-deterring-iran-is-the-best-option-2/

There is a confirmed body of evidence that Iran has worked on models and sub-scale testing of components.  That is all academic study and frankly is their business.  The part of this that you rarely hear about is that their production capabilities for highly enriched Uranium (HEU) are minimal.  All reports agree on this.  HEU runs from about 20% to near 100%.  Making 20% is a chore but doable, making near 100% is damned hard.  A real bomb won’t work until you get to the upper levels of that scale.  Right now, and for the foreseeable future the best that they could hope to make is make a fizzle bomb which wouldn’t have any military use.

I still want to know why President Obama would sacrifice 3,000 American sailors and Marines just to start a war with Iran. Makes no sense, he once winning the Nobel Peace Prize for being the king of peace (or something).

nobody but you proclaimed obama to be anything more than what he is.  A puppet of the Bilderbergs.  If W can blow up 3 thousand citizens on us soil, why would you be surprised?  Oh yeah, you're incapable of original thought.  Typical Repugnican.  Never mind.
