Asking for the wife, who wants to protect her feet while getting on/off the board in areas where there might be shells, rocks, etc.

She doesn't want the type with toes (like a glove), or made from neoprene. Maybe made of the gloves that the use to shuck oysters?

Thanks in advance

Just kidding......my wife uses water shoes. She like the low cut ones like this.....
I think it going to be tough to find any not made of neoprene.

Water shoes are the way to go.  My wife likes the body glove three toes and the vibrams five fingers.  The SUP Socks, Grip Socks or Sand socks are light weight because they are Lycra with neoprene bottom but they slide around and don't protect as much with oyster shells or rocks.

We don't use the water socks any more cause they SUX.

Im a kayak/sup guide and instructor, as well as surf coach. As such i wear something on my feet everyday.
I found some really nice nylon mesh, well constructed surf/reef shoes at walmart by op for ten bucks. At that price i bought two pair, and they've held up for several months so far.
