Yesterday I tried an 8' NUWave SUP that is 29 1/2 x 3 1/4. I have gotten so comfortable on my 9'2" x 31" that it was really a fun challenge. It is a kid's board but I weigh 110 pounds so I thought it was worth a try. It amazes me how fast you can go down in size since I started on a 10'6". Within a month, I went to a 9'6", then to the 9'2". I think the 8' SUP will be in my quiver soon. (BONUS- it's so easy to carry )

Shorter is more fun! I started with a 11' then down to a 9'6" and now 9'2". I don't think I've given up any wave catching ability by going shorter. Matter of fact, the shorter length makes it easier to catch those late drops. As surftech mentioned (easy to carry) shorter is lighter too! My 9'2" SUP flat water paddles good too! Rock on!

I went down to an 8'6", but I like riding the boards that force me to use the paddle more to maneuver, otherwise it's like I try to surf the board on my own while holding a paddle.
I will go along with the fact it's easier to carry!

I am selling a custom 8'6" SUP I had done by Tommy Neislon. Never been wet. It was designed to have all of the good qualities of the pop-out 8'6" from Starboard but with the other things those boards should have. Really neat board that has a custom color scheme. Pulled tail will make it really fast. It's epoxy of course and there are two deck pads that can be added per preference. Check it out:

Brother, when you get a minute, could I get a list of the words that trigger these fits?

Hey. Where are we going? (And what are we doing in a hand-basket?)
