I had some recently on a trip to Barcelona.

It was awesome, and would be perfect for Florida summer.

Who's got a recipe recommendation?

Looks basic, but avocado yes or no?

Dang, I thought it was cool and delicious!

We used to always make a "regular" red version but added Extra cucumber, although too much cucumber can be rather "aggressive" for some folks. It's a balance.

Now, the key to good gazpacho is dependant on your ideas in regard to "texture". We've made them on both ends of the range; from a fairly "liquid" soup, to a fairly chunky "stew".

Fresh ingredients are always important but, at times, and out of necessity, "canned" could be used.

Now, the tomato base of Mrs. Dingpatch's gazpacho always began with "milled" fresh Romano tomatoes. I highly recommend that you get a decent tomato press (vegetable mill). We have this one from Velox:

LMAO

I made a simple one yesterday that was good, but not on the level as the one served to me in Barcelona. I guess that's to be expected.
