There's a thread on Nextdoor where everyone over 60 apparently hates it.

I stopped in for my free shrimp appetizer and a happy hour beer and it was good. Elderly clientele, but from the sound of it they don't like the staff or the food.

Shocker! That place was terrible.. Went there once and sat at the bar. EVERYTHING I attempted to order the bartender would follow with "You don't want that"

No surprise, no desire to go there, What about Masa Taqueria just down the street from Mulligan's? Went there once will not go back, how are they still in biz? Maybe the next to go as well.

What I want to know is how is Texas Roadhouse so busy all the time. I guess the older crowd loves it as they are there at 5 when I am stopping for beer next door after work. I went once or twice at the old location and remember the food was like any other chain restaurant. Are free peanuts that enticing?

Went to Masa once as well. Service was terrible, I can't even remember what I ordered, but it wasn't worth going back for. Sr Loco Tacos across the street is good, BUT their service is getting terrible as well. The food is good though and cheap.

Mulligans had a poor layout. I went for beer a few times but you couldn't see the dang game on the TV because of the bottle racks over the small bar, the bartender wasn't very friendly, and the crowd was a bit elderly for me.

Regarding Masa - I never went because of their sign outside. Before they even opened, they had, "We don't give free chips and salsa". Now, I'm not hung up on free chips, but, anyone who announces that before they even open, who says, "This is what makes us special" is way offbase. They may be the nicest people in the world with great food, but, the sign made me think, "These people are a-holes with piss pour customer skills." There are too many welcoming places for me to consider going there.

Wasn't Masa owned by the CJ's BBQ people? I think I recall the CJ's server telling me that.
