In the Air Cav we blasted Voodoo Child (Slight Return) out of the Huey's speakers. This was in Texas, but the seasoned combat vets said that it was Charlie's favorite Hendrix song.

It was Chucks fave because it could be heard in time to get to the tunnels.

So if you are a surfer I wish you the prosperity that allows you more time to pursue the salt water dream, and the true happiness that comes from warm water, clean waves and the companionship of your fellow surfers. If you are an internet troll just spewing bs then f off.

Love Crosstown Traffic for many reasons.
His version of All Along the Watchtower is epic.
His cover of Sunshine of Your Love (on Live at Winterland) is better than Cream's original.
Izabella is a great jam. JoeBob says check that one out.
and Spanish Castle Magic ... is magic!

There was also a CD by The Beautiful People that came out in the early 90's,
called "If 60's Were 90's" that mixed a ton of Hendrix samples into a psychedelic/house sound.
I discovered that one when it got used as the soundtrack for a surf video called "Strapped"
that had some of the earliest footage of Laird & Co. towing in. Also worth checking out.

If you've ever heard "FHITA" off Jimi's "High, Live, and Dirty" recording, you had to have laughed out loud.
Google that one, but it's definitely NSFW!
