Ha!!! That is what has been interfering with my FM transmitter when I get to the beach recently! That's the exact station that I use, and it has been like a battle to listen to my Pandora over the regae. Thanks for this information Dude!

I was mildly disappointed by the selection. There were a small handful of Reggae songs, but it was mostly 311, Jack Johnson (not a bad thing), and Pepper type "Reggae-esque" music. Then they threw in some '80s pop songs. The Police was one that I could recall. Not horrible and I didn't hear any talk when I listened (last night and this morning). The transitions from one song to the next were odd. They cut straight from one to the next and often times the songs were completely different. So it was very abrupt.

Is it a pirate station? It's just odd with no ads or DJs. I don't expect it to last at it's current model. ORock did something like this when it first started. Lots of alternative '80s with few ads, but it was short lived and ended up being a copy of JRR. Obviously that didn't work either as ORock is no longer on the air.

After my post, I decided to look it up. Not pirated.

This is what I found.

A very good friend and his buddy started this, so far so good... Theyre not DJ`s, but love the Reggae riff type of music/island style sounds...

Its from their collection and are looking for input for more artists.

First day and its not too bad, sure beats the choices around here

I believe they will be looking to grow the station from just one antenna to another in Melbourne, and with the interest by us locals add a sponsor or 2.

I listened to it all afternoon yesterday. I like the mix! Heard everything from Marley (really love ziggy), UB40, to I think I even heard a beastie boys song last night. I'll spread the word.

Also, I'm moving this to the music forum in a little bit due to not surfing related! But, Rock On! Thanks whoever you are for bringing Reggae back to Brevard's airways!

For reception it didn't come in very well in North Merritt Island, but strong signal through Central and South M.I. Strong signal over in the Suntree area also.
