anyone tried this place in IHB?

menu is pricey for a strip mall spot.

31 to 55 bucks per meal. Think I may have seen chicken and Mac and cheese for 26

I was just there Fri nite. The stuff is definitely gourmet delicious.

Menu varies depending on what they can get fresh.

Entree portions are not large, but wife & did not leave hungry.

We each had an appetizer and a dessert to ourselves, 2 drinks each, and shared one large entree.

All cooked to perfection.

Everyone employed there is passionate about the food.

I can't afford to dine there casually on a regular basis, but it's definitely a classy place to have a drink or special occasion dinner.

I was pleasantly surprised to discover it was even a restaurant; from the name and location, I thought it was a place that sold modern kitchen furnishings.

Sprecher's Hard Root Beer was tasty too.

If you plan on eating there, do it soon because there is no way they will survive a year in business here. $28 for fried chicken? lol

Said the Fat Snook. They have some mixed online reviews about Trend. Think its pricier than the Snook. I was one of those guys who would eat at the snook (i live next door) and everytime I see the prices I think the same thing.... This place used to be a flippin deli. The Farmers Rocked.

$55 for a strip steak? It had better be awesome. Looks like almost everything is ala carte.

Good and not so great reviews on YELP

AMAZING!!! Can't believe we have had a first class foodie restaurant just down the street from us and didn't know it! I had the seafood plate which had delicious lobster tail, scallops, crab, fish and clams (who could ask for more?!) and my husband had the best chicken either of us have ever tasted. The food was melt in your mouth good, so we decided to overindulge in dessert too :-) I had the divine cholocate-peanut butter plate and he went back to his childhood with a decadent root beer float. This was some of the best food in Florida, never mind Brevard and we will certainly back. Cool ambiance, awesome service and late night opening complete the package here. HIGHLY recommend!

Overall, the food did not live up to the price and service was slow. Despite the promising menu, I will not be going back.

Other long reviews on Yelp also. Free champagne is always a nice touch.

Epic.... Just had the best dinner I've had since in Florida. Reminds me of a fancy joint from Memphis.

So so ive eaten at lots of swanky places and I've never had cheesecake served to me from a serving spoon directly tk my spoon covered n nitrogen and then told thre and watched frost fly while eating epic cheesecake.

This place is tits, fully recommend.

I stand corrected! Good for them. I still haven't tried it, as the price of $28 fried chicken just pisses me off. However, I may give it a shot sometime in the future. Most of the time, I am pretty forgiving on temperature being slightly off on steak or meat but at those prices, I wouldn't think twice about sending something back to the kitchen for being the slightest bit different from what I ordered.

so i plan on heading there when i'm in town September 11th
it sounds amazing and the menu is rather nice
there are SEVERAL places like that here in Orlando and i thoroughly
enjoy that seem costly but in retrospect, aren't.

you go to any chop house in New York, Chicago, Vegas, Seattle,
Portland, and pretty much a lot of places in California, you're going
to end up paying $80+ for a steak and that's clearly not cheap.

I have some friends that went to Vegas and paid $150/ steak
and they said that thing melted in their mouths and by far was one
of the best steaks ever.

The ravenous pig, cask and larder, txokos, and a few other highly
rated restaurants in orlando are leading the path to exquisite cuisine
not only in orlando, but surrounding areas.
hence why you have a restaurant like that in your area.

it's not always dakine diegos, taco city, and pizza for dinner anymore

and dun dun dun

Rachel's Gentlemans Club in South Florida.

so a steak that is $55 doesn't sound so bad

i wonder if trend or the fat snook are going to try to win a the highly coveted
James Beard Award for excellence in cuisine.

trend has a nice beer menu but it looks like they only deal with one distributor
so they don't have lagunitas and a lot of other highly recognized beers throughout
the US in their portfolio.

which is a shame..... FDC has a bit of a better beer portfolio than microman in my
opinion but microman does carry some great beers too so i can't discount that by
any means.

I would pick Crush Eleven in Cocoa Village over the Fat Snook (same owners).
Crush Eleven has Duck fat fries, and I also recommend the charred Brussels sprouts.
