TWILIGHT ZONE - BY THE MANHATTAN TRANSFER Submitted for your approval. One Mr. Miller, who's about to take a trip into oddness and obsolescene, through a zone whose boundaries are that of imagination. Accompanying him on this journey is the mesmerizing sound of the Twilight Tone. On a cold & rainy night One Mister Miller had a rare flight Glen was up there boppin' a rhythm Then the engine stopped to listen with him Play that beat, oh, oh Suddenly he heard this sound This melody that keeps spinning 'round & 'round Now he resides and plays trombone In the mystic unknown zone Hearin' the twilight (Ooooooh, twilight) Hearin' the twilight....&....He still has a hellofa band!

LOL. I think I read where Glenn Miller died in WW-2. So, it is amazing his orchestra is still playing.... I bought tickets, figured it would be good to expose my son to some different types of music. The Dub-Step is getting old. LOL.

That will be a great show. I hope that your son enjoys the music, it is cool that you are giving exposure to different types of music.

Yes it WILL BE a great show.. and ....there's a little more to it than that, Dave... On the afternoon of December 15th, 1944, Maj. Glenn Miller boarded an RAF Norseman C-64 aircraft. The plane left an RAF base in England to take Miller to Paris, where he would join up with the rest of his band for a show. The plane never arrived. The official story was that foggy weather led to a crash over the Channel. But rumors ran rampant among the American troops still in Britain that Miller had been accidentally shot by an MP in Paris, or that a German assassination squad had shot down Miller's plane. The Army (said the rumors) had covered up the incident in order to preserve morale. Miller was one of the premiere performers of the time, and his death - because the Army had failed to protect him or because a jumpy MP had screwed up - had to be portrayed as an accident. Hmmmmmm......

Too bad they're at the Henegar where the acoustics kind of suck.

Average Age 78...but, the orchestra was fantastic and very entertaining. Somehow I recognized every song. Great show.
