Peter Murphy Cuts You Up.

Songs From Paris is an experimental name we came up with the day of.

Peter Murphy (the godfather of goth) is a very eclectic sound to recreate. Not sure if it can be done with a 3 piece band but kudos for trying. its not the same without the very recognizable violin riff throughout the song.....at least play the riff on the guitar in the beginning so people will recognize the song.

Not sure about the lead singer, maybe he should stick to writing self-help books and motivational speaking... j/k

A name?

How about O C D ....
(obsessive compulsive disorder)

.... though, it should actually be C D O
(with the letters in the "correct order")

...which would stand for Chuck, Dave, ...and the Other Guy.

Its talking heads NOT the Cars! Not bad though.

If ya want to hear how its done with an upright bass & violin, come see Honey Miller. Its their hottest cover tune along with New Radiohead tune BLOOM. And everyone knows Honey Miller as a rule avoids souless cover music. Keep practicin, itll be really good and people love to dance & move to Psycho Killer!

HONEY MILLER WEEKEND SCHEDULE-FRIDAY 7PM JUICE N JAVA   SATURDAY 7PM MURDOCKS SUN SANDBAR 4-8PM ON MOTHERS DAY!

"Prob my fav version of Psycho Killer"

That was the version that made me notice/fall in love with that song!

Jonathan Demme's "Stop Making Sense" was the concert film, I think. You know you've got boatloads of talent, when you can bring down the house with an acoustic guitar and a freakin' boombox.

Yes that was the name of the concert film and subsequent album / cd (which was among the very first cd's I ever bought)

That sequence of Byrne is the opening of the film (btw; the boombox was a prop and a drum machine played through the soundboard was his accompaniment) ... with each successive song and new band member comes on stage until they are all there for "Burning Down The House"

I have seen a LOT of concerts, (starting in Jr High as a buddy's dad built & owned The Orlando Sports Stadium were most all of the concerts of the late 60 thru the mid 80's were held in O-ville) ... later I drove all over the SE & SW to see concerts and festivals. BUT I never saw The Talking Heads .... and I regret that!!
