Have you been to one of those before? Do they do a pretty good job? Is it the same performers every time?

I've been to all but one of their performances ( I missed the "Queen" show).

Tickets start at $25.00 for an awesome concert. Some of the players are the same but the main vocals are different per band. The Bob Marley "Legend" show

on a scale from 1 to awesome was the sh_t!  Go! you won't go home disappointed. They play the complete album, take a break and come back and play a best of set.

i went to the pink floyd one last summer and it was GREAT. They played dark side of the moon, then took a break, than played another hour of miscellaneous pink floyd songs. As spot on as you can get.

epicsesh and I went to see Led Zep 4 last night and it was awesome. Wow...note for note, then the 2nd jam sesh of ledzep classics was awesome. I'm impressed. Also, the king center was sold out last night. Impressed with that also for just a "soulless" cover band....LOL...

The King Center is a well kept local secret. A couple of years ago we went to a show there (Jazz). The four people sitting to our right were from West Palm. I asked them why they came all the way to Melbourne to see an act that was playing down there later in the week. The lady next to me was to the point; Brevard does not realize what an excellent facility the King Center is compared to the places down south where these types of acts would be booked at. She and her husband come up, with a couple friends, to every King Center show they can. The drive and getting a hotel for the night is "nothing" compared to the crowds, noise and crappy convention center acoustics of the venues down south.

I'm a believer now! That Zep show was amazing. Still can't wrap my head around how that singer kept up those vocals for over 2 hours. MY throat hurts for him!

I'll be at the U2 show for sure. And yeah, Bob, that Australian Pink Floyd show looks spectacular. Gonna get me some of that, too.

I was reading in the Florida Today a couple of days ago where is said that the king center is running in the red and dipping into BCC endowment. That is a shame. They should host more popular music events there. Who goes to see Englebert Hupperdink? Every show I've seen there was sold out to the gills. This last concert was sold out. Previous I've seen Morrissey, Styx, CrosbyStillsNash, Natalie Merchant (10,000 Maniacs), and a bunch of others. I look at their events and I just see lame stuff. I did just get my Leann Rimes tickets in the mail today! 5 rows from the stage. Photos in November!

King Center needs to bring in more "contemporary" acts. Its a great place to see a show as the sound is excellent in there. It makes me think that management is hesitant to open it up to bigger name musical acts. and/or, its difficult to get them to sign up. Not sure.

But, yea verily that LedZep 4 Classic Album Live show was really good. That singer was really good, and the drummer was the hit of the show with that Moby Dick drum solo.

just checked their calendar for June ... that Zep show was the ONLY one on it!!! That an't is not going to float the budget boat. Especially if the "Performing Arts" part has to generate the overwhelming % of $$$$ for the entire place including the gallery/exhibit and studio stuff.

Compare that to The Florida Theater in Jax (pretty much the same size venue) .... they have over 200 various shows per year.

I've been... and unless you're really looking for the "crowd around you while you're listening to the songs you know every note off" experience, you are much better off puting the album on, and blasting it in your own living room. At least you're getting the original, not something that "OMG it sounds EXACTLY the same!".

IDK, to me live music sounds better than recorded. Plus, the cheer of the crowd and the interaction the musicians have with them is better than my living room. Plus, I don't have ledzep 4 album...LOL...

I am pretty sure that you are not allowed to be a drummer in a garage band, without owning that album!!

Well, when I was a guitar player in high school I had the album and knew how to play all the songs. I have since forgotten except a little snippet of Stairway to Heaven. I also wouldn't even try to play John Bonham drums. I'm not good enough. I would bastardize his style and butcher it up. Although I don't listen to them all that much anymore, Led Zep is kind of sacred to me. I overplayed them when I was younger. I also owned all of Robert Plant's solo albums and overplayed them as well.

I've seen many LedZep tribute bands and Classic Album Lives was the best ever!
