Don't panic yet. Quantum computers are still pretty dumb and hard to program.

And let's not even talk about the hardware.

I would take some comfort in that, but the pace and inevitability of it is still scary.

I think gene manipulation has more potential for causing problems in the long term. I don't see how QC will make hacking easier. And we'll probably go to GUIDs for passwords. Something like that.
