Yep, I was there. If I recall, they ran late and went by at about 50 mph. But, that may have been another one for the entire Mercury crew or Alan Shepard's. Details escape me.
We were in the STL parking lot (pretty much across the street from where Core Surf is now).

Pops was workin on missiles @ Redstone Arsenal. We were fixin to be getting ready to think about getting ready for the big move to CB (MI first) a few years after that.
