I have two plastic gas cans in my garage with gas over a year old. I have no need for it and want to get it out of there- but don't know where to dump the gas.

Anybody know?

Brevard waste management will take it. Max 5 gallon container and max 25 gallons per year. Call them because I am not sure which location you will need to take it to.

The county has a recycling center in west cocoa where they take hazardous waste like gas, pesticides and paints, as well as electronics.
Call hazardous waste with the county

Pour it through a chamois and use it in lawn equipment or mix it with fresh gas and use it in the old surf wagon. one year isn't horrible as long as it was stored in a closed container.

Depending on where you live and your local rules ....use it to burn yard waste.

I find that taking an expired Beano or 3 usually cancels it out!

Burn it for yard waste? That is some dangerous advice, gas FUMES will blow up a create a giant fireball!!! It takes a while for eyebrows to grow back, Be super careful, but yes you can just turn it into a fireball...Good luck and take pics!
