Seems like a step in the right direction.

Well, , , , , ya, ya, sure, sure, but no amount of money will be useful WITHOUT new, stronger, regulations and ENFORCEMENT of current regs, rules, laws.

Yes, the "Vote" thingy is a real Catch 22. I don't think that there is a single Dick Wad running for anything who is not Beholding to the developers.

I think the way you vote on this one with your property. Got an expansive thick carpet of St Augustine grass that you are keeping so green all year long? Fixing that scource of lagoon eutrification is entirely in your own hands and is probably by far the most effective thing you can do on your own.

Ha, still no luck. Anyway, just FYI, adding nitrogen to the Lagoon watershed by fertilizing cost about $5/lb. Removing nitrogen from the Lagoon by dredging muck costs about $400/lb. Cost effective? You decide. Your taxes at work. (return return)

2 things. Fix the landscaping. Can be done through personal choice. Could use some regulatory backing with teeth. Waste water. Septic to sewer AND advanced treatment to remove nutrients from water before discharge AND fixing our sewer infrastructure so that raw isn't dumped every time it rains hard. Requires government and costs a shit tonnn. Might need to charge developers more and quit giving massive breaks to big corps. Have to balance growth with environmental impact and that needs growth to pay for its poop. Hard to do without stifling growth and nobody wants to do that.
