I'm scheduled to see Dr. Grenevicki in Melbourne next month. The reviews don't seem to be great so am wondering if I'm wasting my time. Has anyone seen him before or can provide recommendations of a different local doctor for this?

Everytime I find a doctor who treats my exact symptoms they are out of State. For example: https://www.drmikepilar.com/ describes every symptom, but is in NY.  I guess Floridians don't treat TMJ all that much.

A little more reading and it seems that MPS an non needle required version of acupunture, and cold laser therapy are successful alternative treatments.

Anyone ever try Micro Point Stimulation or Cold laser therapy? Seems that both items can be purchased relatively inexpensively if a local doctor or therapist can't be found. Some alternative and holistic treatment centers also seem to use them.

Let me know if you find anything. I haven't gone in for treatment, but I go through periods of clenching the hell out of my jaw, with most of the TMJ symptoms. Mine's stress related, I think.

I haven't started any alternative treatments yet, I did start with going to an oral surgeon and ended up getting an Xray and an MRI. I'm told from the xray, it looks like I'm 60+. Still waiting on insurance to allow me to schedule a follow up to go over the results from the MRI... I guess you have disks in your jaw same as your spine which can get dislodged or damaged which over prolonged time then results in arthritis. Ibuprofen and the steroid injection seem to be the recommended treatment for joints and aches before any thoughts of surgery...
