Shaquem Griffin's story is so much bigger than football. Annika Emmert is 13 and plays soccer. She was also born with amniotic band syndrome and had a portion of her right arm amputated. Some kids and even coaches don't high-five her after games because of her bionic arm. "It's always a big thing meeting someone like him who is exactly like you. It makes your heart pound."

He's going to be a good NFL player.

I hope he goes higher than expected in the draft.

Me as well. He deserves. Anyone who watched him play the last couple of years knows he is totally NFL ready.

The reason you didn't hear much about his twin brother (now DB for the Seahawks) is that no opposing team threw his way while he was playing.

Thus, his stats weren't great. He was a shut down corner at UCF. Scott Frost moved Shaquem to linebacker two years ago and won conference defensive player of the year. Then last year's undefeated season, Shaquem was a shut down linebacker. He did everything. INterceptions, Qb sacks/hurries, blocked punts/extrapoints, covered backs out of the backfield. Plus he did with such an intensity that before every snap you would look where #18 was lined up. Cause that is where the action was going to be....

He was and is inspirational for sure and was a great player for UCF ...... however, to date, Bortles was the best player that UCF has had. Damn shame that the idiot coaches/management of the Jag's destroyed him.

Destroyed him? He had one of the best statistical seasons in Jags QB History in 2017. One of the most memorable Jags' seasons for me, and there ain't a lot since I can't remember games when I was 13 y/o. Same coaches the next year, and even gave Bortles a big contract extension. Bortles lost the drive imo, and he just decided to cruise. Jags didn't tell him to go out and hit Lemon Bar every frickin' night. It's the reason he's just a career backup now.
