Much more relevant to Florida is the legislature considering a bill that would keep counties from adopting "customary use" rules for beach access (which St. Johns and Volusia counties currently have), making it much easier for beachfront property owners to cut off access to the public.

Renouishment projects come with some rules that help ensure access (public money, public access), but it's still troubling.  WJHG in the Panhandle

The intent is the same, to privatize beach access and usage. One is going thru the courts while the other is proceeding thru the legislator. In either case if they win we who don’t live directly on the beach loose.

I think it's going to be a case that is won by the ones that believe in their cause most.
