chopola

You pre-dick-ed I could do it

Like I said, this site is doomed without NSR. Here is the conspiracy. Some one with money buys 2ndlight.com, deletes the NSR section. The ensuing pollution flowing into all other categories destroys the well built/smooth running site. Change the name to something more Global bring back NSR, put cat piss in charge {he is the rudest of the rude]. And the catpiss proclamation that he is gonna have a better site than this one is fulfilled.

I hope NSR is gone for good.

At first the various topics and comments there were interesting.
Even the more sensitive discussions on religion and politics focused more on beliefs and views ... even legit questions.

Unfortunately, it quickly sank into a cesspool fermented and dominated by a few close-minded and argumentive peeps who condemn those with opposing views with crude insults and copy/paste fanaticism.

The existence of NSR (even if not read) sucks the very soul from what made 2ndLight.com such a cool forum for surfers of all skills and age to look forward to reading in those early days.

...just saying

hear, hear! I quit reading 2ndlight.com for quite a few years solely because of that section. Like a moth to a flame, I could not resist, but, it routinely pissed me off so badly that I finally just left this forum completely.

Im sad to see it go, they were the only threads I felt compelled to add my opinion too.

I'd say about 2700 of my 2881 posts/replies were on there.

For only being active for two years that's a pretty solid number if the point of the forum section is to generate thread activity; clicks, views, and posts-where else on here has a thread of over 30 pages besides the defecating in a wetsuit thread(that's the surfing sections most hit thread, real quality material there).

Also its that extra grain of salt I need when reading political, hypothetical, and theoretical crap knowing most the audience deep down shared the same passion for riding waves.

Pretty simple to not click into a section which contains stuff you don't care to read, unless you have a MOTH BRAIN

It depends on the operation, and the surgeons skill. Sometimes both live.

Sometimes, not.

p0nda, you started off rocky, but recovered - in true CB fashion! Well done. Your salvation is in your sig.

Yeah I'm with Pandaroo

It's apparent that many surfers/Americans don't want to make waves.  As an example I give you the Florida endless summer plate...

What the?  Some guy with a funshape walking through a flat orange hell?

Anyway, some of the fluff that passes for stoke in the surf section is a bit sugary for my liking.   The NSR offered challenging insights and humor that can be mistaken for malice and trolling by the general populous.

Maybe.... I think a lot of it was challenging insights vs. rude discourse.

That's the problem with people like moth brain, they get pissed off when some one has a different opinion than theirs. Free Surf . sad , just saying.

NSR has, ....ahhh "had" 57678 topics.

NPNR only has 4992 topics.
Ahh, so this is how they increase the posting number (clicks) on a particular category.

The problem is that I can't find sh*t in NPNR now.
Everything important and relevant is on the 2nd page, or almost.

Any good story about why NSR got the boot? What was the last straw?

Sniper - FK couldn't shut his pie hole

Frankly I don't mind the rest, even when crakit posts a pic of Michelle Obama next to a gorilla - that's his choice to be a racist and display it for all to see...

Why is everyone so fucking soft?
