does anyone know if/when the county plans to complete replacement of the wooden telephone poles with concrete (4 snapped off in IRMA and got emergency stand-in poles) ?   They have about 1 mile left between the causeways...

They are power poles, your telephone is wireless.

Maybe designs have improved, but hurricane Andrew of 1992 efficiently mowed down the biggest, heaviest steel-reinforced concrete power poles.  Admittedly I like concrete better than wood.
