Fall is one component of a star-studded 2015 recruiting haul that also includes Deltona power forward Chad Brown and Daytona State small forward Tanksley Efianayi. Winter Haven guard Chance McSpadden is expected to sign Thursday. It's a group that some believe can be considered a top 25 class nationally.

The article seems to make me think he has never played basketball and was picked for his height. Is he any good?

He is from Senegal. Only been in States for two years. Played b-ball for two years for a school near Mount Dora. Yes, picked for height. Supposedly he is athletic. There are youtube vids. But, he will be a work in progress. at 7'6" I imagine the motor skills are not all there. But, maybe with a div 1a training program he will be good. Had offers to some other prestigious bball schools. I hope he is good. UCF bbal has the opportunity to get better. Next year they have a lot of good signees coming. Coach Donnie Jones is a great recruiter. He built the gators up while he was there and won back-to-back National champs. We will see...

That's amazing that is all it takes is to have an unusual physical trait. Suprising to me, my oversized nose or big feet haven't gotten me any offers.

That USA Today video was like watching the movie Teen Wolf. The rest of the team is standing on the sidelines eating hot dogs while the lone player keeps getting the ball to Tacko.

LOL. yup. 7'6" is tall. If he makes it to the NBA he will be the tallest player in the league. UCF signed a really good class. Can't wait for 2015! (always next year).

I don't know if any one else would agree with my opinion because I don't play basketball, but I don't find his playing exciting. To me it just seemed like the older kid in highschool who got held back playing against the smaller, younger kids under him. It didn't even look like any of the players on either team wer trying. Maybe it's because he's so tall they didn't think they even had a chance, but the game just didn't appear to have any NBA or college level playing in it. All I saw were dunks and shots right next to the basket. Simply put, their playing looked to be lacking a bit of technical skills. Then again, I don't play ball and have no skills of my own so I could be completely wrong with my observations on this one.

...and is a dunk really all that exciting to watch when the player doesn't even have to jump to make one?

yea .... the other squad was completely over matched, but what you could tell from the vid was:

- he has good hands (catches the entry & fast break pass well )
- showed good feel for where the ball will come off the rim on rebounds
- ran the floor well
- showed good timing on blocks and blocked with both hands
- kept the ball high and went right up (shows he listens to and learns when coached)
- showed good form on free throws

His overall strength and conditioning will be tested at the next level and will no doubt need to improve ... but he dif showed great promise (as shown by the list of D1 schools that were interested) Nice signing for UCF

UCF needs to improve in B-ball. We have some good signees coming in next year (there is always next year!).

2014 UCF b-ball isn't going to win very many games. But, super young. Starting two freshman guards. Then in 2015 with the influx of more talent...hopefully, knock on wood, we improve.

Coach Donnie Jones is a great recruiter, but my overall impresssion that he isn't so much a good game day coach. The jury is still out.

2014 don't expect much. maybe a conference win or two
2015 expect huge improvement but still mid-tier conference
2016 Move up to upper echelon of conference play and possibly make the tourny.

By then we would have joined the Big 12! LOL...Knock on wood.

For this 7'6" dude, I get the feeling that everyone is gonna want to slam dunk on him to get more posterized vids like above. The guy better toughen up!

Here is another recent video of Tacko Fall

7-foot-6 Tacko Fall leads Orlando Liberty Christian over Lakewood 77-70 (w/ video)

ST. PETERSBURG - From the moment Orlando Liberty Christian Prep's Tacko Fall ducked his head to emerge from the locker room, he was the main attraction.

Tacko Fall attended a UCF basketball game last weekend. Can anyone spot him in the audience?
