This summer has some great looking movies to see! Here is one link with a few trailers to watch:

Movie trailers

Les Miserables with Russell Crowe, Hugh Jackman & Anne Hathaway. I'm a big fan of her looks, but not sure about this movie (it's a musical). I'm sure the wife will drag me to see it

Total Recall with Colin Farrel and Jessica Biel. Now THIS is my kind of movie! even if it is a remake of the Governator's 90's classic, I can't wait to see it. Looks great!

Snow White and the Huntsman with a bunch of pretty big names: Charlize Theron, Chris Helmsworth (Thor), Kristen Stewart (Twilight series), this looks to be a LOTR-type remake, filled with scary trolls, and good fight scenes.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter: It sounds ridiculous, but looks pretty good. If you think about how Lincoln fought against slavery, and relate that to the vampires in the movies, there are some strong metaphors running around here.

For all the LOTR fans:
Hobbit trailer
LOVED this book as a kid! Can't wait for this movie!

Dark Knight Rises
Of course, this one is on the top of my list...

Amazing Spiderman: This movie goes into the story behind the parents of Peter Parker, which none of the comics ever did... looks cool

Another Total Recall. Funny how PKD is more popular than ever. He was way ahead of his time. At least he left his kids a good revenue stream.
I have yet to find any other Sci-Fi reading on his level.

I just saw that Johnny Depp is going to be Tonto in a new make of the Lone Ranger in 2013.

Snow White and the Huntsman got a good review at the NY Times (but not a Critic's Pick badge).  Nasty review by Michael O'Sullivan at the Washington Post.

Moonrise Kingdom, an artsy film by Wes Anderson, has two 12-year-olds running away and setting up their own paradise.  Or something like that.  Maybe this fall, if at all?

Beasts of the Southern Wild looks like a child's-eye-view to judge from the strange and pretentious trailer.  But it's set in southern Louisiana.  The local movie theater's showing the trailer, so they might actually show it.
