Yup, one of my favorite events of the year.  I'm calling an epic Tiger/Phil showdown, but regardless, I just love the vibe of the whole thing.

Heard one of the announcers at Bells last night say that their morning conditions were Augusta.  Perfectly groomed.

I'd love to see a Tiger-Phil showdown with a few young guys in there. Throw Rory and Bubba in there and you got a great weekend of golf.

there's a great field this year, probably even attract viewers that wouldn't normally follow golf.

When I worked at TPC Sawgrass, I had the opportunity to go and play Augusta National, but didn't want to make an ass of myself and hack up the holy grail of golf courses in front of a bunch of scratch golfers.

Rory and Bubba are actually paired together for the first round....they may set the competitive tone early.

Tiger and Moon-Bae (young up and comer) are paired together with Jimenez.

Love this event........

Lots of rain in that area lately. Probably going to make playing out of that nasty rough even more difficult, but it should keep greens a little softer. Anyone know what they were reading on the stimpmeter?

True and I kick myself in the ass now every time I think about it. In my defense however, I had just started playing golf and couldn't break 100 with unlimited mulligans. Evreyone else that was going, were biding their time until they were accepted to Q-school. It would have been like a snowbird that had never seen the ocean, dropping in on that set wave at jeffery's with a foam ron jon board.

Obviously you're not a bowler.

Phil charging, and has showed some serious resiliency.  Nice to see a good guy at the top, I'll be pulling for him to close it out tomorrow.

Hanson shot 65.  Phil shot 66.  Woot.  Hope they both play awesome tomorrow in the final pair.  Hope Bubba and Oosthuizen bring presure too and make it classic.
