It is in memorium of a firefirghter who litterally ran from Brooklyn through the tunnel into Manhattan to help on 9/11. All of the proceeds go to a charity, I belive ran by his family, and you know a bunch of NYFD & NYPD finest will be out there! Looks like they close down the tunnel on the Gowanus appraoch so you get to run through it follwing the route he actaully took.... edit: my link doesn't seem to work so here's the web address http://www.tunneltotowersrun.org/ ------------------------- get up early and go surf - it'll make that hangover go away and/or make the workday more tolerable :)
