I USED TO RIDE A TWIN FIN A WHILE BACK AND NOW I HAVE A TWINZER ON LAYAWAY. I WAS WONDERING IF IS POSSIBLE TO SWITCH IT FROM A QUAD TO A TWIN WHENEVER I WANT? IT HAS FCS AND I WAS THINK OF PICKING UP A SET OF TWIN SKEGS, BUT I DIDN'T KNOW IF IT IS POSSIBLE? MAYBE IF THERE IS A SHAPER THAT CAN ANSWER THIS QUESTION

No, but you can pull out all the fins and ride it like a wake board.

Id say you could... Just take out the inside fins. I dont really have a lot of experience around quads but thats what I think would work.

the boxes arent placed in the right spot to be a twin in most cases, you could try it if you really wanted to but i guarentee it will be too loose, the bottom contours arent right either, lot of things to consider, lets see the board in question

A twinzer isn't a quad...it has small leading fins and larger trailing fins. The leading fins job is to clean up the turbulence of the main fins.

FCS does make keels...I believe they will be not be where they belong in relation to the rails.

Good luck !

The answer is NO. Florida maritime statute below explains:

Section 12:
Article 8: No personal flotation device or human propelled vehicle originaly manufactured with a specific number of directional stability devices shall be operated without all directional devices installed and operational.
a. Enforcement: Maritime law enforecement agencies will not expend resources policing Article 8, as gravity and laws of physics will perform that monitoring function. Citizens may self report their own violation on local or regional special interest web sites. Those reporting indecision about adhereance to Articlae 8 will be subject to intense chat room ridicule.

I used to ride a twinzer in Hawaii about ten years ago and it was the funnest board I ever had. Highly recommended for playful head high waves. As for riding a quad as a twin, just try it and see if it works, depends on the individual board shape and fin set up!
