Interesting indeed. I've always thought reasonable sun exposure was far better for me than greasing up with susreen. Seems I was right.

vit d is important for all cause mortality. levels are a true bell curve. too little and too much is bad

I participated in an enormous vitamin D study. Results are pretty mixed. I have a wad of Finnish ancestry and even more British. Not built for the rropics.

I knew of a woman who was a pale white research scientist who died of melanoma which I found very odd considering all of my sun exposure in my life. There may be something to this research.

When I was a young lad (12 to 25) I routinely got severely sunburned. Years later, yep, , , , every kind of skin cancer. I now do get plenty of sun, but NEVER enough to burn; when in the water I'm covered up. My pre-bone marrow transplant labs from last June said that I had very good Vitamin D levels.
