I paddled from Lori Wilson down to 2ndlight and back on New Year's Eve. Bit of a grind going into the southeast wind but a really fun downwinder coming back. I was about a mile offshore coming back and got buzzed by something a lot bigger than the surfski I was riding. It made a huge boil when it swam at me and turned and dove right as it approached me. Never saw a breach or a heard a blow. Scared the shit out of me. I keep hoping it was a whale and not a Lamnid.
